pvjones:
So the American voters are expected to forget about Tara Reade because Donald Trump has treated women equally badly? That appears to be what mainstream media in the USA has decided.

If you think Biden treated women (or anybody else) "equally badly" to Trump, you're delusional.

Reade would probably not get past first base on a witness stand. She lacks credibility.

All of Trump's many accusers have a more serious problem, Trump and his enablers have made sure they can't even get to the witness stand:

pvjones: Joe Biden & Kamala Harris on live stream. (I have no problem with politicians using teleprompters. I do have a problem when they use scripts & teleprompters to create the impression of a live interview.)

The first words out of her mouth - lies : "after the most competitive primary process in history, there was a resounding result the answer is Joe"

Competitive primary in terms of the number of challengers and positions. Initially it was a credible three way race between Biden, Sanders, Warren. Then Biden / Sanders. I think there is justification available for calling it competitive. There's an existing Biden topic maybe it needs a rename.

Meanwhile Trump trying to steal the election by defunding the USPS and the service turned off automated mail sorting machines.

"Trump admits he is undermining USPS to make it harder to vote by mail"

And "Trump pushes for schools to reopen as US sees deadliest Covid day since May"

A total of 1,499 deaths from Covid-19 were reported across the country, according to Johns Hopkins University data. The US continues to lead the world in infections and deaths, with nearly 5.2 million people having contracted the virus, and more than 166,000 having died since the pandemic started.

The parlous situation has not deterred Trump from agitating for the reopening of schools and businesses, however, with the president warning that children would suffer if they do not resume in-person classes.

Trump also threatened to divert federal funding away from schools if they didn’t reopen.

Meanwhile Trump trying to steal the election by defunding the USPS and the service turned off automated mail sorting machines. ...

The Washington Post - Trump says he’s blocking postal funds because Democrats want to expand mail-in voting

today

In extraordinary comments to Fox News, President Trump said he is trying to prevent the U.S. Postal Service from delivering millions of mail-in ballots to voters by holding up $25 billion in emergency funding for the agency.

They need that money in order to make the post office work, so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots,” Trump said.

The cash-strapped mail service is already experiencing days-long delays after Trump’s new postmaster general implemented new policies including a ban on overtime pay.

Congressional Democrats have insisted on emergency funding for the agency in their negotiations over a new stimulus bill, which collapsed Thursday as the Senate adjourned for the next three and a half weeks.

Many health experts say mail-in voting is the safest way for people to vote in November, but Trump has baselessly attacked efforts to expand it as a plot to steal the election.

The president’s likely opponent, Joe Biden, called Trump’s latest comments “an assault on our democracy and economy by a desperate man.” ...

It wasn't competitive in the eyes of this Democratic primary voter.

Biden was polling terribly before Super Tuesday, so terribly Bloomberg and his billions are parachuted in 1/2 way thru to try to stop Bernie, then the DNC and Obamas hidden hand are behind the other candidates coalescing and endorsing Joe

The corporate and political establishment got nervous about working people standing up - the establishment chose the establishment candidate.

Does somebody hear something? A faint bla bla sound? Nah, it must be just the wind. Ignore it and move on.

Trump is a master of words... I mean George Bernard Shaw levels of wordsmithing...

About the Israel-UAE agreement: "He said the tenor of the three-way phone call he had with Israeli and UAE leaders “was like love”. "

Sorry, should've used an American writer, to avoid Trump's xenophobia (although George Bernard Shaw was Irish).

Anyway, let's go with Samuel Clemens a.k.a. Mark Twain - but Trump probably doesn't know it.

What a rich source of wisdom that is. Here is the first one that popped up for me:

"No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot."

Okay, I will quit now, but that man is a treasure trove. Here is more for anyone interested.

I am pretty sure Mark Twain would have lots of inspiration to write a book titled The Days of Trump.

Also, there exist a Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
