The New York Times - Kamala Harris Cartoon in Murdoch Paper is Denounced as Racist
Kevin Rudd, a former Australian prime minister, lodged a complaint against The Australian for publishing material he called “racist and sexist.”
Sideface
*Shrug* Murdoch is Satan's Minister for Public Information. I'm only surprised that anyone is surprised.

His case would be a bit stronger if Biden hadn't used the phrase "little Black and brown girls" when he introduced Harris:
As Biden introduced Harris, the daughter of immigrants from Jamaica and India, during their first joint appearance Wednesday, he said he hoped the decision would inspire girls across the country “especially little Black and brown girls who so often feel overlooked and undervalued in their communities.”
In other words they were using Biden's own words in the cartoon.
Rikkitic:
The world's biggest a$$hole gloats over another country's Covid 19 infection. 😡
It would be poetic justice if Trump, Kushner, Ivanka, and Pence in particular all catch COVID.
I see the Orange Buffoon In Chief had another televised CovIdiot Fest today as well!
Pretty powerful convention speech by Michelle Obama.

kingdragonfly: You be the judge. Here's Biden's tweet
They were apparently quoting Biden's spoken words, which are closer to what the cartoon used.
Sideface:The Washington Post - Sanders: ‘Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Trump golfs.’
It's part of the presidential security plan, he's hard to assassinate because you don't know which golf course he's on.
Donald Trump at a rally today:
“What we’re doing is nothing short of an economic miracle and now we’re doing it again,” the president said while speaking from the airport tarmac. “We built the greatest economy in the history of the world and now I have to do it again.”
“You know what that is?” Trump asked. “That’s right. That’s God testing me. He said, ‘You know, you did it once.’ And I said, ‘Did I do a great job, God? I’m the only one that could do it.’ He said, ‘That, you shouldn’t say. Now we’re going to have you do it again.'”
That the POTUS thinks God talks to him is only part of the problem here. He's completely off his rocker.

But context is everything. The cartoon put it out of context. And so do you.

CNN take on Trump's NZ comments. Yep, headlines can be a problem, especially if you only read words with two syllables max.

And of course Steve Braunias take in The Guardian 🙂

I like bashing Murdoch as much as the next guy, but it was a cartoon of Biden using Biden's own words as addressed to Harris. There's plenty about the right-wing media you can pick holes in, but this particular one is rather grasping at straws.
