When Trump was asked about Corona deaths he famously said "it is what it is"

From today's Democratic convention, words from Michelle Obama:

“Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country, He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head. He cannot meet this moment. He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us,” she continued, and then sighed: “It is what it is.”

A preview of Vladi baby explaining it to Trump that his usefulness has expired.

Grifters are grifters... "Trump's Inauguration Bill"

They even claim it's "legal currency".

How many idiots will buy this thing and then try to use it?

Even the photo with Trump is holding it is clearly photoshopped but that won't stop idiots:

I remember after he won in 2016, the next day in one of my Hotmail mailboxes I received some BS spam about a "Trump inauguration coin". Yes, like him winning the election over Hillary Clinton was a time in my life I'd really want to remember.

I tell my boys about this and they'll look back on this time as a point in history where - for once - America wasn't leading the world defeating an enemy (coronavirus); in fact they were near the bottom of the pack due to the ineptness of their narcissistic, petty so-called "leader".

Further CNN comment on "It's terrible. We don't want that" (tack-on to article on Bill Clinton's DNC speech!)

https://edition.cnn.com/2020/08/19/politics/meanwhile-in-america-august-19-intl/index.html

This time with a comparison between the US and its allies over the last week (should really have been per capita values though!  Or sum the allies tallies would be a fair comparison: 39,692 new cases, 512 deaths)

Trump's schadenfreude is intended to convince voters that the US is facing the same Covid-19 challenges as everyone else. But the facts reveal his government's pitiful performance. Here's how the US compares with its allies in deaths and new cases over the last week, according to Johns Hopkins University:

New Zealand: 73 new cases, 0 deaths

South Korea: 1,101 new cases, 1 death

Australia: 2,060 new cases, 107 deaths

Italy: 3,410 new cases, 191 deaths

United Kingdom: 7,672 new cases, 73 deaths

Germany: 8,192 new cases, 33 deaths

France: 17,184 new cases, 107 deaths

United States: 343,925 new cases, 7,034 deaths

If anything, new outbreaks abroad should be cause for alarm by the President who oversaw the world's feeblest defense against the virus's first wave.

When we went back to level 3 a friend of mine in Europe emailed me to confirm the lockdown: "You're really going into lockdown over four new cases?".

At about the same time some Trumpet blared on about a surge in Japan, I pointed out that Japan has had as many deaths throughout the entire pandemic as the US has in one day. Mind you ignorance of facts is pretty much a membership requirement for the Trump fan club...

Talk about disconnection from reality:

Except neither of those things are false.  A decade isn't that long for our memories.

  • America is hyper-partisan now, but yes Obama's "the biggest threat to our democracy is cynicism" words and actions were divisive. 2008 Obama discussed "cynical" voters clinging to "guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them."  So yes all Politicians are divisive including Obama.
  • Of course 8 years of Obama-Biden created Trump, that's undeniable - he didn't magic up out of nowhere.  Last 4 consecutive elections have been change elections, voters asking for change, rejecting the status-quo, and still not getting it.  If Obama didn't choose Hilary to continue the Neoliberal Project, a reality-tv star DC outsider, who listened to Americans rejecting the TPP, NAFTA and globalism, wouldn't have won office.

Of all the moronic lying tweets he writes, this isn't one of them.

kingdragonfly: The details were in a section of the report about the Russian art of “kompromat,” or disseminating damaging information to discredit a rival or an enemy, which can pose a national security threat by targeting American officials.
...
The Russians are really, really good at this. The book "The Spy in Moscow Station" reports how a very attractive female KGB agent turned up at the door of the NSAs workroom inside the US embassy in Moscow, in the middle of the night offering them whatever they wanted...

are we really supposed to believe, that someone that cares about their image and morals so much, that they say "grab them by the pussy" and still gets elected President, can be blackmailed, by kompromat, that threatens to expose infidelity?

He wears infidelity like a badge of honor.

There's a strange law. According to statute 18 USC Section 331, it’s illegal to mutilate American currency with the intent to use them fraudulently.

But souvenirs with no intent to pass them off as currency get the green light.

If you visited a US theme park, you may have come across a pressed penny / elongated coin dispenser. Fun fact: a US penny $.01 contains about $0.015 in metal.

There are legal $2 in the US, but they are rarely seen.

While the ad may be Photoshoped, someone could actually do it.

Trump tweet: "I’m here, as your President, because of [ObamaBiden]!"

A dog whistle to his racist fans. The translation: "remember who was VP to that black president?"

or could it be in politics, people still care about policies and issues.  Maybe voters rejected another 8 years of "hope and change", making things worse for them, while the rich got richer?

Its a little bit like believing Trump won because Obama couldn't run a 3rd term

I still reckon, voters here, turn out for things that affect them, not offend them.

The fact is they claim a souvenir to be legal tender. It's on the screenshot. It's on the page.
