Serious question - if that does happen, does that mean Kamala would step in as the Presidential candidate? If so, who would become Vice President? Nancy Pelosi?

Your question is void, since it's predicated on the US electing a black woman as president.

they despised a white woman giving it to Trump, they ain't giving it a black woman

Batman: they despised a white woman giving it to Trump, they ain't giving it a black woman

its simple and a great excuse to blame Hilary's loss on chromosomes, when it had far far more to do with her families corruption, working class frustration with the neoliberal agenda, and voters not wanting to support yet another Washington-Insider politician in.

Theres a reason why 'Crooked Hilary' nickname stuck

The Washington Post - The 5-Minute Fix: Trump is trying to get rid of Obamacare as the pandemic resurges

Nancy Pelosi could save Obamacare with a one-line Amendment - by repealing the individual mandate, which is now functionally inert, the House Speaker can invalidate a push to eliminate the Affordable Care Act.

But the Dems and Pelosi won't do it.  They just have a wall of excuses, that don't pass the litmus test.  They prefer to use this ACA campaign issue to run on, rather than simply fixing the problem.

This is all a mass delusion, both the Dems and the Republicans, don't care about us, they don't care about actually fixing this issue, they think we're idiots and playing us like fools

Below the surface of the fiercest political battles is actually elite bi-partisanship.  The Dems don't care about the substance of fixing the ACA whatsoever - they think this is a good electoral issue for them.  Both sides are pathetic.

Hi there, Mr Q.

Your argument is literally perfect.  I point out how the Democrats benefit, by not doing their jobs, in writing laws that aren't open to interpretation, and I get branded a conspiracy theorist.

Maybe you could do try to think about why the Dems don't remove that single line from the Obamacare/ACA law, and then call the Republicans bluff on the issue - is it because they both benefit from this situation?

But its easier to say that my radically simple ideas are QAnon or Russian conspiracies.  Congrats on the brainless thinking.

I agree that whole system in the US is broken. Its not a Dems is better than Reps or vice versa (though some might say the Rep leader is satan [or god] etc). They are both broken and together in partisan opposition, create long-suffering for their people.

@DS248:

Hmm, couldn't post the above with the URL as link.  Kept getting the captcha thing. Clicking on the check box (yes, I am human) just brought up a small spinning disk above the check box.  Just kept spinning ...  Tried about 6 times with the same result.  Above posted as I accidentally did not have the URL as a link.  Trying to edit it to add the link got me back to the captcha > spinning disk sequence.

When this happens, you could use BBCode instead. Since the DDoS event a couple of weeks ago I have changed settings to make it harder for browsers/IP address that may be present bot behaviour. This will continue for a while but I keep calibrating it.

BBC News - US election: Trump won't commit to peaceful transfer of power

today

US President Donald Trump has refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses November's election.

"Well, we'll have to see what happens," the president told a news conference at the White House. "You know that."

Mr Trump also said he believed the election result could end up in the US Supreme Court, as he again cast doubt on postal voting. ...

What did Trump say?

Mr Trump was asked by a reporter on Wednesday evening if he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power "win, lose or draw" to Democrat Joe Biden.

"I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots," Mr Trump said. "And the ballots are a disaster."

When the journalist countered that "people are rioting", Mr Trump interjected: "Get rid of the ballots, and you'll have a very - you'll have a very peaceful - there won't be a transfer, frankly, there'll be a continuation." ...

EDIT

The Washington Post - Democrats, and Mitt Romney, blast Trump over refusal to guarantee peaceful transition

breaking

Democratic lawmakers and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) responded sharply to Trump’s refusal to commit to a peaceful transition of power, condemning the president’s comments about a foundational tenet of democracy.

Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.), who led the House’s impeachment inquiry against Trump, tweeted: “This is how democracy dies.” ...

TRUMP SAYS HE WON'T ACCEPT BLAME FOR STATE OF AMERICA BECAUSE HE HASN'T WORKED FOR PAST FOUR YEARS

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Pushing back against derogatory attempts to brand the United States of 2020 as “Trump’s America,” Donald Trump said that he deserves no blame for the state of the country, because he has not actually done any work for the past four years.

“I could understand people blaming me for stuff if I had actually been on the job, but I haven’t,” he said. “Anybody who claims otherwise is a very bad person.”

“CNN, which is a disgrace, says that it’s the White House’s fault for this and the White House’s fault for that,” he added. “Well, I’ve hardly been at the White House, so they’re wrong again.”

Attempting to answer the question of whose America it is, if not his, Trump said, “The last President who actually worked at the White House was Barack Obama. So if this is anybody’s America it’s his and Sleepy Joe’s. People are saying that. They’re sick of living in Biden’s America, and we cannot give Joe Biden another four years.”

He rejected any suggestion that, as President, he must own the current conditions in America, asserting, “I know what I own and what I don’t own. I own Barr, McConnell, Stone, the NRA, the cops, the military, the GOP and lotsa golf clubs. Oh, and the schmucks who come to my rallies.

But I don’t own America.”

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

So, if Trump loses in a very clear landslide (hypothetically), will he accept that the people have spoken, or try and take his ridiculous pointless crusade to court?

Must admit I don't remember much about the election in 2000 (was going through a nasty breakup at the time), but I can imagine he won't simply sit back and concede. Hell, Obama really didn't like him, but at least he was civil about the whole handover thing.

Trump is a tool, the and SLAPP suit is his tool.

There is no way Trump won't contest the election. Grace and dignity in defeat are as likely as this:

Politico: What pandemic? Trump tries rapid shift to Supreme Court

Trump allies are buoyed the Supreme Court confirmation fight has taken focus away from the coronavirus outbreak six weeks before the election.

...While Trump’s allies and aides were careful in more than half a dozen interviews to avoid appearing as if they were celebrating the death of the Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, they all acknowledged the political windfall of the unanticipated event for a president who has seen his approval rating dip during the pandemic. One called it “super.” Another said the coronavirus has now been relegated to “noise.”...

... the White House and Trump campaign are now concentrating their messaging infrastructure on the Supreme Court confirmation battle, blanketing surrogates with talking points, dedicating social media feeds to the issue, scheduling interviews about the president’s “moral” and “constitutional” duty to fill the vacancy and swiftly manufacturing “Fill That Seat” t-shirts that are now for sale on the Trump campaign website.

...Trump allies are pushing an undisciplined president to stay as focused as he can on the Supreme Court while also pushing his two other messages — the economy and law and order...
