freitasm: The whole "hard drive" of emails story has been totally debunked.

Yes.  But the % of loyal Trumpers who'd be swayed against Trump because a(nother) big lie was exposed will be 0%, the % of everybody else who now have increased "doubt" about the Bidens will be above 0%.  So job done, thanks to the Murdoch empire.
Even facebook/twitter tagging the story as "fake news" only cements belief in a conspiracy - even though if those social media sites never existed the Trump empire would have stayed in the "entertainment" and business bankruptcy sections of mainstream media publications.

This is something you don't read very often (from an article on the BBC web site)

"Earlier today, top Trump aide (and former golf caddy to the president) Jason Miller....."

The rest of the sentence is about foreign policy, a subject a lot of golf caddies specialize in no doubt.

Personally, I can't see Trump winning the election.

But if he does, I doubt he'll be blowing out candles on June 14th.

I assume you mean because he will be unable to blow hard enough to put out candles as a result of his COVID infection?

Actually, I wasn't referring to an illness.

geekIT:  TRUMP ACCUSES NEW ZEALAND’S PRIME MINISTER OF COMPETENTLY HANDLING THE CORONAVIRUS TO GET RE-ELECTED

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction ...

BBC News - Dr Fauci in political tug-of-war

today

After criticising the country's top infectious disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci this morning, President Trump doubled down on the denunciation at a campaign rally this afternoon in Arizona.

The president then turned to his rival, Joe Biden, saying that the Democrat "wants to listen to Dr Fauci".

Fauci has served as the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, and has become one of the most visible figures in the government’s coronavirus response.

But Biden doesn't seem to mind the association with Dr Fauci. He retweeted the president's remarks with a simple "yes". ...

I saw the clip of Chump campaigning in Arizona and IMO he's starting to sound desperate.

He's attacking Faucci big time, a person that is apparently trusted a lot more than the President by a very large proportion of the population. That sort of attack is not going to gain him any more support outside of his base and he needs that to win.

I'm starting to believe a landslide for Biden might just be possible.

How low can a president go criticising Fauci like he did?

Oh, I forgot, there is no low for this idiot.

This is a lot how pre-revolutionary France worked, people would pay enormous sums of money to buy positions close to the king in the hope of gaining his favour and conveying it into even more lucre in the future, including the ability to pay back what they'd borrowed to buy the position in the first place.

So the "debates commission" has decided that in the final debate, they'll mute the mics of the opposing side for the two minute opening statement/answers on each topic.

Trump will have a meltdown if they do this.

Trump will just shout louder to disrupt Biden's train of thought and get picked up by his microphone. His problem is he can't hold a thought for two minutes, so if he doesn't interrupt while something is being said, he has no comeback. Not that anything he says makes sense.
