I have a friend and a relative who are both conspiracy believers. Both of them are intelligent and the relative has a degree.

The friend quotes UN Agenda 21 and the relative the Great Reset promoted by the World Economic Forum as the way in which society is going to be turned into a sort of global communist state with the governments sitting on the top, the corporations in the middle and us poor slaves at the bottom.

After these plans were mentioned to me I had a look at them and it's difficult to understand how any intelligent person could read into them that they were some sort of global takeover.

UN Agenda 21 is optional for a start and many countries have not signed up to it. It seems to be about sustainability mainly. The Great Reset mistakenly seems to assume that the pandemic is a turning point in society and also relies on the buy in of politicians like JA who, no matter what you think of her and her government, is transient. In the next few years she will be out of power.

I've had discussions with my friend, pointing out that the UN is one of the least influential and most ineffectual organizations in the world so the idea they could be implementing a global takeover is ridiculous but to no avail.

It's almost like they have been brainwashed.

IMO its reached an unacceptable point when the lady on One News said she was told by a protestor she was "going to be executed for her bad reporting".

If true it sounds like mental illness but in any case that kind of aggression & rhetoric can't be allowed. I'm guessing the reporter didn't tell an officer or if she did what in the actual @#$% if the psycho wasn't sent packing with a warning.

Its something for oppositional people to oppose. If its not this, its something else, but this issue is way cool as its so out there and in the public eye (apparently). Although the vast majority of the freedom brigade it wasn't important enough to hunker down at Parliament, most went home.

I get told its about choice. Well, your happy to be forced to get a drivers licence or a passport, or a standard of dress at an event or an IRD number? Yes, as its my choice to drive or travel or go to said premises, but its not my choice to be locked out of a vaccine pass location. But the hassle and cost of these examples is ok, but a jab you can't feel that will protect yourself, your friends and family and help reduce spread is such a big deal? Yes, as its my choice, the old and fat people,they need to get jabbed and stay home...

And when I quote something, I get told where's the link? Ah that story, its made up by the Govt and Pfizer. He says something, I ask for the link, "Its on the internet, go look"

Round and round in circles and he wonders why I cant be bothered with him at times.

Its todays craze to latch onto, IMHO its not really about Covid or mandates, its about something to oppose and be different. You'd expect a country to be divided, but if you check vax figures and extrapolate that to the population, its a non event

1. The % they are of the general population is very minimal at best. and

2. Is it not possible to arrange a peaceful protest, arrange meetings with people with power, or is it easier to be violent, and aggressive, and be happy to block roads in Wellington where if there was a fire, an accident, or a person who collapsed, that essential services cannot get through???

The mindset is irrational and disorganised, balanced off by aggression

They're all class..... Funny how they despise MSM, yet want them to report on their protest. Would have been great if all media had totally ignored them.

Live stream is getting interesting. Pretty clear effort by the police to keep moving them back and a few people getting led away.

Pretty unfair on the cops that these unmasked dickheads from all over the country are probably a massive Covid risk and itching for a physical confrontation.
