kingdragonfly: Since the Republicans are experts at voter fraud, they may be thinking "why didn't we think of that first?"

Philadelphia, colloquially Philly, is the largest city in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.

Politico: Trump camp stokes fear over unfounded claims of mass voter fraud in Philly

Officials say the incidents are isolated or simply legal campaign activity.

What about voter fraud or mistakes? As part of a recount. Theoretically, fraud or mistakes will be divided between DEM and GOP.

Votes are close but still favouring Biden so I’d put my money on him winning and I think Trumps face last night clearly told this story. Asking for recounts is a risky business where the difference is so marginal and would likely still favour Biden in the districts that are contentious.

Batman:

wisconsin is about equal, if anything Trump has slightly more uncounted votes

How so?

As I see it, early and postal heavily favour Biden. Even in Trump counties where he may have say a 65 to 35 lead, early and postal are still liable to favour Biden or at least be even. So, in my example Trump still wins the county but it may end up 55 to 45, so even or maybe 55 to 50, so Biden adds more votes for the State count. One pundit saw these votes as 70 to 80% Biden. Not because of the trend in any area but as DEM's are far higher to vote early or postal as they were encouraged to, REP were encouraged to vote on the day

Gordon Bennett!  If the turns are tabled, I'll have one less thing in the world to moan about.

Many pundits making guesses seem quite partisan.  I starting to think Biden's going to be POTUS.

Yep, the key is many states are bound by law to not count early and postal votes till 7am on voting day, then due to covid they have to deal with real time voting first. Pennsylvania still has one million votes to count they can easily be 70% Biden. Virginia I think started off as Biden then went Trump, as they are allowed to count early votes a week or so ago, so same thing in reverse

12 hours is a long time. I went to bed last night convinced Biden had no tangible path to win, now he's a contender again.

Regardless of outcome, one half of America will be convinced they were cheated out of the presidency, in a dysfunctional democracy awash with guns.

Trump filed lawsuit to stop counting in Michigan. As stated on TV last night thats stupid as if theoretically if they stop counting votes then Michigan is called to Biden as he's in front . he needs to stop vote counting where he is in front, not that any of this will happen

Always mind-bloggling when a contender asks for vote counting to stop. On what grounds? All votes count. There should never be a good reason for vote counting to stop.

AP has called Wisconsin for Biden.

Michigan has 6% of the count left to go, Biden is ahead 130,000.  I think that's going to be safe Biden too - the largest county in the state has only 80% counted, and it's overwhelmingly Biden (Wayne County /Detroit) and that's not going to change.

I dont think Georgia and Pennsylvania are out of the question. If you take the uncounted votes @75% Biden which is the feel of many, it takes them close

At this point, if he gets Michigan, Nevada and Arizona - all of which Biden is leading, he would get to 270.

What's mind-boggling is the US has delegated so much federal responsibility to the states; there's no national standard.

In a reasonable country, voting would stop base primarily on the longest time it takes a mail-in vote to arrive from the furthest flung part of the world.

Of course no organization wants to be pinned down, unless they're paid to deliver based on a time.

As you may expect the United States Postal Service submitted a report on expected election day performance. They only provided information about how likely a piece of mail would get through, not the longest time it should take.

The longest postal delay was 89 years!

Yep. If PA and GA are added, that helps support the win being strong, rather than razor thin, which I think would be a good thing.

Trumps enablers in Senate seem to have done ok, and not paid much of a price.
Mitch McConnel looks like he is going to win the big one.
So that really caps any change, they look to be able to stonewall no matter the outcome.
Well I suppose it says it all when Qanon conspiracist gets selected and wins for Senate.

Trump or Biden no 'real' change on cards it seems.
