Even if Biden wins the Senate is staying Republican so gridlock politically for the forseeable future.

Biden only has to win Michigan and Nevada and he’s the next President. He’s only 22 electoral votes away from winning.

Trump camp are wasting their time with recounts. Stalling the inevitable. Wisconsin is over 30k votes ahead for Biden...no amount of recounting will be meaningful.

Always mind-bloggling when a contender asks for vote counting to stop. On what grounds?

It's pretty clear the grounds are "I don't like losing!".

Regardless of outcome, one half of America will be convinced they were cheated out of the presidency, in a dysfunctional democracy awash with guns.

As a "normal" functioning human being, this frightens me.

There's the potential for the world's "premier democracy" to devolve into civil war over conspiracy theories, rhetoric and partisan brainwashing.

I was amazed to see the large numbers of militia on the news...from both sides. It's madness.

Another 6 years of McConnell and Graham. Just proves there really is no downside to being a lying, cheating, conniving b*****d

The worst thing is to confirm that a good segment of America can't leave partisanship behind and can't vote on their best interests.

this is why

President Trump leads by nearly 700,000 votes in Pennsylvania as of 5 a.m. on Wednesday, and Mr. Biden’s chances depend on whether he can win a large percentage of the more than 1.4 million absentee ballots that remain to be counted.

So far, Mr. Biden has won absentee voters in Pennsylvania, 78 percent to 21 percent, according to the Secretary of State’s office. The results comport with the findings of pre-election surveys and an analysis of absentee ballot requests, which all indicated that Mr. Biden held an overwhelming lead among absentee voters.

If Mr. Biden won the more than 1.4 million absentee votes by such a large margin, he would net around 800,000 votes — enough to overcome his deficit statewide.

Biden wins...Stephen Colbert will have no more material for his shows which is 90% Trump bashing, he may have to resort to comedy. Ditto the media since much of mainstream is left wing, I am curious what they will fill the gap with. They need material to draw in the viewers and Trump was the best fodder they’ve ever had.

Biden will be boringly predictable apart from his linguistic gaffes. We are going to lose the shock, horror factor in our daily lives with Trump gone and let’s face it, boring doesn’t sell news or engage viewing. I predict some news venues firing staff. This thread will end and the Biden one will have very little material. I’m also picking that Kamala Harris will be taking the lead role long before the Biden term ends....all the above unless long shot, Teflon Trump manages to sneak in, but I don't see it.

100%  I stated this earlier.  Its a well known situation, Virginia did the same but in reverse. Often quoted that DEM have 80% of these vote, and even in RED counties these votes wont mirror the margin, they are mainly DEM votes

Along the same lines Friday Night Comedy on BBC Radio 4 (if you haven't listened [Podcast] I recommend it, particularly when it's The News Quiz or The Now Show) will have to work harder to find material.  It may not be as amusing, but that's a compromise I can happily leave with to be rid of Trump.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Biden will be undoing the damage Trump has done nationally and globally, Trump will be on Twitter bagging it, plenty of news to be had.

I doubt if Trump will continue with Twitter if he loses and there is no more recourse left to him. He will more likely fade away tail between legs because of embarrassment that he only made one term.

Plenty of shock horror with majority Senate constipators blocking every single thing Biden tries to do.

The result and the ultimate winner won't stop the utter madness that has become the new normal in the United States.
