....
I think only Stuff is saying that, for some weird reason. All the American mainstream news sites still say 253.
They use AP as their data source, just like a Google search presents. AP are pretty confident in their calls.
Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
They have called Arizona, then? Isn't that what Trump was complaining about?
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos
After listening to a spokesperson for the US Government this morning on 9 to Noon, he felt exceptionally confident Trump (if he loses, which now looks fairly certain), other than a few legal challenges, will step aside and do an orderly handover to Biden in long held tradition. It's the view I've long held despite his ongoing flapping lips, and I believe more than ever that will be the case.

Hard to imagine that, BUT, he has been eerily silent since his inappropriate tweet last night. Not a peep. makes me feel he has been counselled, that you cannot win, Courts will throw you out, you need to leave on a high (with honour and appropriately) and leave on that positive note. Sort of give him a shot at having some form of legacy. If he left kicking and streaming that would do him a lot of unfixable damage and leave a very poor legacy. He can probably squeak out ok if he left honourably, and be known as a "different" type of President rather than other descriptions
US sites are cautious of calling state results too early.
Given all the HoHa around accuracy of predictions, those outside USA not so constrained.
Outside USA , ABC Australia has 264 Biden ,and other news-sites are more free to go further in calling likely results.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/
The discontinuities in the American system can be seen in Nevada and Arizona not progressing from 86% today.
While they have been counting apparently they are now reluctant to provide further interim results quickly.
Apparently they were going to pause updates another day, but will issue one before day end now their time.
Its madness all the way down in USA System, and we have not even got to the Electoral College, where reps may 'potentially' vote how they like
Every time Sir Geoffrey Palmer mentions we need a single document constitution, I shudder.
Along with the whole Upper House and President mess surely not a good path for us.
Edit, Type therefore I typo.

When either side can win mathematuially, its not right to call it.
The slow updates is a pain but why that is is that its slow to count, they check, count, scan, then after a while they take the HDD (they were doing that last night at one station) and upload it, that updates it. But you have smaller setups in counties then massive numbers in a town/city. But the main thing is that its a slow process.
foxnews has Biden at 264
edit - but yet arizona is only 84% counted and it's been given to Biden? very strange
but new york times is still Biden 254
i think AP might have jumped the gun a bit. that would outrage people why do that

Oh no he hasn't.
On his twitter feed it's business as usual:
He's posting CT from Breitbart and ranting.
I don't share the optimistic expectation that he'll ever accept losing / concede, call for calm. The fact that he shows no compassion for anybody - never has nor could be expected to in future, he'll be more than happy to encourage his supporters to literally "battle for him" by lying to them that they're battling for "democracy". It's possibly going to get very very ugly IMO. We'll see.
Georgia lawsuit
when Trump is silent you should be worried. he's planning something ... or many things ...

Georgia lawsuit
The Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit seeking to pause vote count in Georgia, the AP reports, as officials continue counting tens of thousands of ballots in the state.
“We’re trying to make sure every ballot is counted,” said Rick Barron, the Fulton County Elections Director. “We expect this to go probably around midnight or more.”
‘We’re going to finish tonight,” he added. “Whatever it takes.
Many of the uncounted ballots are absentee votes cast in large counties including Fulton, Chatham, Cobb, DeKalb. In Fulton, a burst pipe yesterday delayed the counting of 50,000 ballots.
Georgia’s 16 electoral votes are hanging in the balance as mail-in votes are processed. Joe Biden has been eating into Donald Trump’s lead as more absentee votes are counted. Fulton, which encompasses the state capital Georgia, overwhelmingly favors Biden – do does DeKalb.
Overall, Biden is trailing Trump by about 1 point in Georgia.

Oh. CT? (Claptrap?)
I assumed he may have been resigned to the fact its over, and seek a graceful exit. Maybe not.
According to The Guardian, Biden has so far received 71,562,273 votes, and Trump 68,272,493 votes.
The New York Times quotes similar numbers.
A 3 million vote lead.
Where have I heard that before? 😐
