Fred99:

It's been rounded up to a 49.4% tie, but Trump still has a lead of 1900 votes.  I'm confident Biden will pull ahead.

Five thirtyeight reporting as below:

With Biden down 1,902 votes and about 16,000 left to count, Biden needs to win only 56 percent of what remains in order to take the lead statewide

Seems likely Biden.

Pennsylvania is pretty much done. Trumps lead is down to 30k and there is still 5% to count. Biden is probably going to win by 100k at least.

It's gonna take many days or even a few weeks before it's all tallied.

Alaska is only at 50% of vote counted and New York at 78% at this stage to give the two lowest examples.

To get the official result, sure. Those states are almost irrelevant though. They will go Red and blue respectively - the margins are so high.

Is anyone following Trump tweets, if any? I'm not on Twitter.

He's blathering incoherently so pretty much situation normal. You don't need an account.

Then there will be the recounts, then court cases.  But I think the numbers now look strong for Biden. He is picking up most of the postal votes as Trump expected.

Jesus, it's like almost every tweet is disputed. He really needs to learn when to shut his ignorant mouth. Of course, he won't do this.

Biden seems to be  getting far more postal votes than Trump, and postal votes are what are being counted now and causing the delay, and Trump knew this would happen. Pretty sure he told all is supporters to vote on the day in booths, and not use postal. This then allowed for him claim that he won , as he seems to see polling booths as the only legitimate voting method. That allowed him to claim victory on the day, and then claim it is getting stolen away from him as they count up the postal votes. One thing I don't think is good , is how different states have different rules around what postal votes can be accepted. Some seem to accept them coming in late as long as they are post dated before the election date, whereas other states don't seem to accept them unless their are received by the date. But the rules are rules and it is same rules for both of them.

Correct. End of the day, the President was decided at end of voting time on 3 Nov (allowing for absentee votes to transit the postal system). No matter how or when every vote is counted it was already decided by end of voting time. Since then its only about counting. As anyone who followed this would know,  some states laws allow mail in to be counted early (7 to 14 days before voting day) and some weren't allowed to count until 7am voting day (in which case due to covid distancing restrictions and the subsequent lines, they had to count voting  day votes first and mail in/earlies later) BASIC MATH. Everyone who follows this knows that, as do Republicans, except Trump

Ohio (I think, or maybe Virginia) is a RED state all day long. It was huge for Biden, same reason. They can count early, cleared the earlier/mail in, Biden rocked, the the rest (voting day=GOP) came in. If the POTUS was not Trump, they would know this, But Trump is Trump he is a winner.....

One would hope that all states (who decide their own vote policies) will agree to count on the same basis. Count mail in and earlier first, then voting day votes.

Recoup its never change the result, they show small handfuls of anomalies (that go both ways) . Courts cases, yes, but two have already been blown off today/yesterday. Court cases are VERY valuable, but not rubbish cases.

Trumps rants don't have much overt support from republicans. Most of them are ignoring him.

@Sideface on bbc. Thats the thing for 3rd party candidates and parties. All the results are state by state and no national collation anywhere. Someone has helpfully created national tables in Wikipedia, no data there yet.

Apologies to anyone if I've missed posts. This topic is adding pages cater than I can keep up today.
