Eva888: Biden leading in Georgia by 917 votes. You have to wonder when it’s this close what would happen if there was a recount.

A recount with such a narrow margin is guaranteed.

@Batman:

heh the after works drinks - people are saying antifa (or some organized underground movement) are defrauding the votes. they say not possible for every postal vote to be democrat vote ... any evidence of that anyone?

"Antifa" is anything a right-wing person doesn't agree with. As I said before if you are anti anti-fascist, what does it make you?

Answering your question, Democrats tend to vote earlier and Republicans vote on the day. It explains why the mail-in votes tend to favour Democrat candidates.

Winning this election with a narrow majority is a shallow victory for whoever comes first when you still have half the population unhappy with the result and your mandate is weak.

Trump team just won plea to allow Observers within 6 feet in PA.

"Do you think a republican state, with a republican governor, and a republican secretary really rig these ballot"

There's actually two terms, "socialist" and "antifa". The difference between them is that "socialist" is more a democratic, political thing you disagree with while "antifa" is a more aggressive demonstrator-type thing you disagree with. Think of the way your father or grandfather referred to anything he disagreed with as "communist" and you've got the meaning of "socialist" as used by the right.

For reference, the UN World Happiness Report consistently ranks socialist countries, specifically ones following the Nordic Socialism model, as the happiest countries in the world. The US is ranked nineteenth, well into the also-ran's of first-world countries - following it are places like Mexico, Chile, Guatemala, and Saudi Arabia.

It is almost like these states are delaying the vote-counting so that they can be the last "battleground".

Christ, we're never gonna hear the end of how the presidency was stolen from god's man Trump.

Jacinda Arderns labour party has 50.1% of the vote but has a mandate. Biden currently has 50.5%.

Obama won in a "landslide" in 2008 with 52.9%

Mandates are about narrative not numbers.

I really do wonder now if Trump will take it further, but I guess he may not have any choice. He is going to look like a fool with all he has said IMO, and even twitter is no hiding many of his rants today. If he can't even respect the democratic process, and who the people of the US have voted for, what is he doing there? Some sort of power trip?

I think history will show Trumps one term presidency as an anomaly, and it is very rare that Presidents only do one term before getting voted out. But we can thank Covid that he only got one term, just a pity it cost so many lives over there.
Due to Bidens age, I wonder if he is going to be shielded somewhat from getting the virus, because he is elderly and looks frail, so could be a sitter for getting the virus bad.

And it’s midnight here, hard to tear oneself away. Breakfast may reveal all.

Labour has twice the votes of the next-highest-polling party. To a rough approximation, Biden has the same number of votes as the next-highest-polling party. There's a huge difference.
