Batman: Apparently Trump is still the boss for the next 75 days ... I'm not sure what will happen ...

Plenty of time for a mature person to urinate in various corners of the Whitehouse. The number one question of Biden's presidency could be "Where is that smell coming from?"

In a year of extreme strangeness Rudi Giuliani ranting about votes from Mars in front of a garden centre isn't even in the top 10.

Four years. I remember when this started. I honestly believed @realdonaldtrump twitter was a parody account. Because who would say stuff like that?

Lawyers for Trump held press conference in parking lot of landscaping company

Only the brightest and best to the very end.

Notice that Trump changed his Twitter background to black, like the petulant 12 year girl that he is.

A Puerto Rican was on the island with no power or running water after the hurricane when Trump disrespectfully threw paper towels into a crowd during his visit.

I just love these fanatical christian republicans. They said Trump was god's choice to be president and he was gonna be re-elected. Now that he hasn't got a second term, it was because the democrats cheated and rigged the election. So that means god almighty wasn't powerful enough to stop the cheating and rigging.

I wont criticise Republicans. Its like saying National supporters in NZ are idiots. MOST people are good, MOST politicians want to do good. Centre Right and Centre Left is no issue, idiots are. Trump is the latest idiot. If we need to rate Trump as a POTUS, A = excellent E = poor, he is a J, simple as that. An anomaly, and he is done.

Been off here for a while...  But I will criticise Republicans, while a minority of them aren't racist af.... I would say the majority of them are.

They voted a second time for a racist, xenophobic, white supramcist supporting grifter who has through his incompetence killed 280k+ humans (the reason why I say 280k+ is the excess deaths this year vs 2019 in the US whereas in NZ our mortality rate went down as I suspect there were less car accidents and similar ways folks die due to accident or elderly from common flu infection due to lockdown)

All many of them only cared about is reversing abortion rights and furthering "conservative ideals" but seem more than happy with child separation, blaming minorities and divisive behavour.

I always think Trump is a symptom and not the cause of the problem. Hundreds of years of systemic racism from slavery and the resulting treatment of minorities for their cheap labour is the root cause which the US is unwilling to accept is so prevalent across a large amount of their population (I would say in the high 30%'s).

Trump is the very obvious symptom of the disease, but in many ways Mitch McConnell is worse. He has controlled the senate, it was him who blocked Obama from doing anything in the second half of his presidency. He enabled Trump. He could have moved to remove Trump at almost anytime. He was the one who blocked evidence being heard a the impeachment trial and pushed through the Supreme Court judges. Of course the other Republicans could have replaced him as majority leader in the senate at anytime but were obviously happy with what he was doing. The whole party is complicit in the corruption.

Your last sentence is the key. McConnell enjoys being evil, yes, but he's only there because the rest of the party want him to be.

I am just so glad he is going. The Four Seasons thing is classic. An administration that can't organise a toilet stop organises a press conference in front of a garden centre. Brilliant!

Next to an adult book store.

Apparently journalists started streaming out when they got word the election was called for Bidden. According to The Guardian, when Rudy asked what was going on and was told the election was called, he responded “Don’t be ridiculous. Networks don't get to decide elections. Courts do”.

NY Times: "Prominent Republicans are continuing to close ranks around President Trump, with Senator Ted Cruz of Texas saying that he still believed the president had “a path to victory.”"

Some people are delusional. Others are just grifters.

It is good to have a grifter, autocratic despot (yes, redundant figure of speech, the guy is a monster) out. Good to have nazis, white supremacists out.

But the seed is there. The next candidate might be actually smart and do things in different ways - and the Republicans now have a history of supporting these ideals.

One day they might even be classed as a terror organisation.

Courts decide who won an election?
So much for an open democracy.

Even Trump's wife is telling him to give it up now. How many more people does he need to tell him he's a loser?

The way i see it. If he facilitates a peaceful transition he can be remembered as a President of the United States of America. Something not many people can say claim they did. If he goes down clawing and scratching and gets dragged out of the White House kicking and screaming that's what he will be remembered by.

But I don't know which path he'd choose. Reports say the former, but only once the legal path to 270 ends.

I would love to see the Secret Service removing The Orange Con 45 from the White House by force, with him kicking and screaming like a toddler. On live TV. A minute after Joe Biden's inauguration.

CNN - Bush congratulates Biden, says election was 'fundamentally fair' and 'its outcome is clear'

Former President George W. Bush congratulated President-elect Joe Biden in a phone call Sunday and said that, while President Donald Trump has the right to pursue legal challenges and recounts, the 2020 race was "fundamentally fair" and "its outcome is clear."

The gesture by Bush, the only living former Republican president, was a break from his party's outgoing president, Trump, who has so far refused to concede the race.

Bush is smarter than Trump.
