Trump responds:
Methinks the phrase "backed into a corner" is appropriate
neb:Sideface:At least it's not small and mushroom-shaped. (Mods, feel free to remove it that's too much :-).

Covid19 was moved to an ICU last night after being infected with Donald Trump Jr. The prognosis doesn't look good...
Paul1977:
So GSA says they weren't pressured or instructed one way or the other. Trump implies they are allowing the transition to begin on his directive "for the good of the country".
So which is it?
EDIT: Trumps tweets about it read like they were written by someone more articulate, who just threw in some all caps and exclamation marks to make it look like Trump wrote them.
The GSA did her job. Her letter was entirely appropriate.
Entirely predictably Trump is making a lot of noise and will shuffle off to start his "news" network with millions of emails in his mailing list. On 20 January Biden will be the president and nothing much will change.
A president who would like to receive explicit praise for taking things for granted, fulfilling his duties and performing his duties, and who complains about what others have achieved. Did he think it was the chair of the local rabbit breeders association?

kingdragonfly: New York Times: What Donald Trump Liked About Being President
He preferred the parts of the job that combined pomp, splendor and a world amenable to his decisions. In other words, he always seemed to genuinely enjoy pardoning turkeys.
- people-pardoning: He has used his pardon and clemency powers with abandon to reward allies and others whose causes are backed by celebrities. He is still considering a wave of such pardons for the final weeks of his tenure.
- being the center of major celebrations for the mere fact of being president.
- the Bastille Day parade in Paris
- the “beautiful phones” at the White House
- delighted in serving fast food to college football champions.
- elaborate fireworks display at Mount Rushmore
- showing off Air Force One, the Lincoln Bedroom, the study off the Oval Office where Monica Lewinsky would visit President Bill Clinton
- posing for pictures in his work space
- regular golf outings on the weekends
- pardoning Thanksgiving turkeys

The New York Times - Since Election Day, a Lot of Tweeting and Not Much Else for Trump
today
In the three weeks since Election Day, President Trump’s most visible presence has been on Twitter.
Since Nov. 3, he has posted some 550 tweets - about three-quarters of which attempted to undermine the integrity of the 2020 election results.
In total, the president attacked the legitimacy of the election more than 400 times since Election Day ...
EDIT: ... and, from The Washington Post - Twitter, Facebook transferring @POTUS accounts to Biden on Inauguration Day
today
Twitter and Facebook said they will hand over the digital keys to @POTUS, as well as other official social media accounts, to Joe Biden on Inauguration Day, even as President Trump continues to reject his election defeat.
The social media giants said the @POTUS handles and those for the White House, vice president and first lady will be transferred on Jan. 20. ...

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.
The Washington Post - Donald Trump stands up for the Confederacy one last time
today
At issue is the National Defense Authorization Act, the yearly bill that funds America’s military colossus.
For 58 straight years it has never failed to pass; this year’s version spends $740 billion.
But included in the bill - with the support of all Democrats and some Republicans - is a provision to rename the 10 military installations still named after Confederate officers ...
President Trump has said that if the renaming provision is not removed, he will veto the defense bill. ...

The Washington Post - Congressman seeks to have Rudolph Giuliani disbarred over attempts to overturn election
today
In the three weeks since Election Day, Rudolph W. Giuliani has waged a prodigiously unsuccessful legal fight on behalf of President Trump’s campaign to overturn the election results.
Giuliani’s bizarre news conferences and literal meltdown became fodder for late-night talk show hosts, while his even more bizarre legal arguments have prompted federal judges to unleash withering rebukes. ...
Trump and, to a lesser extent, those in his orbit have a track record of eluding consequences for violating democratic and political norms.
And although a legal reckoning may still await Trump outside the White House, one congressional Democrat in New Jersey is pushing for lawyers such as Giuliani, who have enabled the president, to face swift and severe professional sanctions.
Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. (D-N.J.) filed complaints on Friday in five states against Giuliani and 22 other lawyers working with the Trump campaign, calling for them to be stripped of their law licenses for filing “frivolous” lawsuits and allegedly engaging in “conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation.” ...
Pascrell filed grievances with regulatory and disciplinary boards within the state bar associations in Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Giuliani’s home state of New York. ...
