The Washington Post - Wisconsin recount confirms Biden’s win over Trump ...Under Wisconsin law, Trump was required to foot the bill for the partial recount - meaning his campaign paid $3 million only to see Biden’s lead expand. ...

That works out at ~ US $35,000 per lost vote.

I wonder if cities still waiting to get paid for his many, many rallies will start civil suits to collect money promised for Trump, once he's gone from office.

You'd think with his lifestyle we'd see him "6 feet under" pretty soon.

I'd much prefer for him and his children to be around, in prison or fleeing extradition abroad, financially destitute.

Only problem is the campaign didn't pay, the marks and chumps targeted with aggressive threatening donate or else letters from the campaign did.

That's assuming the campaign doesn't just ignore the bill or tie it up in another BS lawsuit. I mean, not paying bills is practically his signature move.

I think I saw somewhere that they made him pay in advance. They aren't completely stupid.

This research is a year old, so I'm guessing it's much worse now.

Perhaps cities started publishing his picture next to the cash register on the "dine and dash" billboard.

When asked most republicans would say they are the "law and order" party. I guess the law is equal for all, and it's more equal for some.

Center for Public Integrity: Why the Trump campaign won’t pay police bills

Ten city governments from Arizona to Pennsylvania say the president’s political committee has stiffed them out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Published — June 2019

“Do we love law enforcement or what?” President Donald Trump asked a cheering crowd during his “Make America Great Again” political rally October 2019 in Lebanon, Ohio.

“Thank you, law enforcement!” the president later told officers, who he called “heroes.”

But when Lebanon City Hall sent Trump’s campaign a $16,191 invoice for police and other public safety costs associated with his event, Trump didn’t respond. Trump’s campaign likewise ignored Lebanon officials’ follow-up reminders to cover the sum — one rich enough to fund the entire police force for nearly two days in this modest city of 21,000, between Dayton and Cincinnati.

The bill remains unpaid....
