That "Blacks for Trump" guy is not... black?

That's pretty funny actually. I'd guess they hand out Trump clothing etc for the people sitting behind Trump (who will be on camera), and some idiot gave the white guy this shirt. You'd think they'd be smart enough to not make a stupid mistake like that, but this is from the team that brought us a press conference from Four Seasons Total Landscaping (between the crematorium and dildo store).

So that's possibly a very definite maybe not. Perhaps.

I prefer Jacinda's version. "NO."

GEORGIA SECRETARY OF STATE BLOCKS CALLER AFTER RECEIVING UNHINGED THREATS

ATLANTA (The Borowitz Report)—Georgia’s secretary of state has blocked the number of a desperate caller who phoned him on Saturday with a series of unhinged threats.

Brad Raffensperger said that he stayed on the line with the caller for approximately an hour “in the hopes of talking him down.”

“He really seemed to be in distress,” Raffensperger said. “I thought that if I spoke to him in a calm, soothing voice, that might help him feel better, but nothing I said made any difference.”

“He was spouting all sorts of nutty conspiracy theories about dead people,” he added. “It seemed like he spent a lot of time on Twitter.”

After it became clear that the caller was “not in touch with reality,” the secretary of state ended the call and blocked the man’s number.

“I felt bad about that, but there was nothing more I could do,” Raffensperger said. “I just hope he gets the help he needs.”

More dirty deeds ... this is NOT satire.  😕

The New York Times - Pennsylvania G.O.P. refuses to seat Democratic lawmaker in State Legislature.

breaking

The effort by congressional Republicans to deny the presidential results found an echo in the Pennsylvania Legislature on Tuesday, when Republicans voted not to seat a Democratic lawmaker who was elected in November and to remove the lieutenant governor, also a Democrat, as the presiding officer of the State Senate.

On a typically ceremonial day of swearing in members, Pennsylvania’s Senate majority refused to seat Senator Jim Brewster, whose narrow victory was officially certified but is being challenged in court.

In a contentious, chaotic session, Republicans also voted to remove Lt. Gov. John Fetterman as the Senate president and to replace him with the top Republican in the chamber.

The lieutenant governor refused at first to leave the rostrum, and for several minutes both he and the Republican voted into his place tried to recognize motions from the floor. Eventually, Mr. Fetterman stepped away.

I was escorted out,” Mr. Fetterman said in an interview minutes later. “This was a corruption of the fundamental democratic franchise in our state.”

He said Mr. Brewster’s win in November was certified by the secretary of the commonwealth and compared the state Republicans’ actions to President Trump’s efforts to subvert the outcome of his race.

Mr. Brewster, who has represented a region outside Pittsburgh for a decade, defeated Nicole Ziccarelli, a Republican, by 69 votes. ..

also not satire ...

The New York Times - Trump ramps up pressure on Pence to overturn election results.

today

President Trump falsely claimed on Tuesday that Vice President Mike Pence has the power to reject electors when the Electoral College vote is certified this week, continuing a pressure campaign the president has slowly increased in recent days.

The Vice President has the power to reject fraudulently chosen electors,” Mr. Trump falsely claimed on Twitter. ...

Mr. Trump has been trying for days to press the vice president to use his procedural role in the event as an opportunity to change the outcome of the election.

It is also a moment that some of Mr. Pence’s advisers have been bracing themselves for since Mr. Trump lost the election and stepped up his baseless claims of widespread voter fraud.

During a rally in Georgia on Monday night, the president openly pressured Mr. Pence for the first time to satisfy his demand that the results be changed to benefit him. ...

Trump said he plans to go to Scotland before Biden's inauguration, to play golf. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon: "I hope and expect that – as everybody expects, not everybody necessarily will hope – that the travel plan immediately that he has is to exit the White House."

Wouldn't work anyway, they have an extradition treaty with the US.

Also, isn't he supposed to be playing the fiddle rather than golf?

The Washington Post - Polls close in Georgia with control of the U.S. Senate at stake

breaking

Results might take longer because of increased mail-in voting. *

Early results show Democrats in the lead:

EDIT

*  "Gabriel Sterling, Georgia’s voting systems manager, said it could be a couple of days before people start to see the final results in the state’s runoff elections."

He is a running graph by the Washington Post updated quite regularly:

Georgia U.S. Senate runoff results

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I am going to stick my neck out here and say both GOP candidates have it ☚ī¸

Or have I read the individual counties wrong.

Warnock and Ossoff are both handily ahead with about half the votes counted.

Fingers crossed!
