Joint Chiefs of the armed services officially reminded army members they are required to defend the united states government and the constitutional process. Amazing. Never required before in the USA. Joint Chiefs named it as insurrection.

Incredible watching ABC Live at times today. Impeachment debate in progress and running stories on the riot and the leadup to it including the president's involvement

On Fox News, I counted 20 "news" articles before this one.

It was right after a headline called "CNN announces it is pulling network from airports, Twitter rejoices"

So dunking on a rival is more important than a terrorist event / violent attempt coup.

I've always wondered how the religious right - who worship Trump and the ground he walks on - reconcile themselves with his (obvious) adultery and womanising. From my very hazy memory of the Bible, I'm fairly sure adultery is a sin...but I guess since he's a God to them, that's all good, right? Everything else "bad" he does is "the Democrats'/liberals/mainstream media/CNN's fault".

That's correct. Just a request. Pence has said 'No' to that request.

The actual impeachment debate and resolution is tomorrow 9AM ET.

In the best case God is using him, pray for him. In the worst case, fake news fake news. American is like 97% christian and even many evangelicals of those are not trump supporters. The people you talk about are pretty much a minority although they are noisy and fund a lot.
