Since he's not paying for it, and he's a wannabe despot / Generalissimo

Perhaps the soldiers getting the drill sergeant will order "about face...bend over... present arms" and then a 21 raspberry shot send-off, and then throw some bananas at the orangutan..

People have a lot of plans for Trump and family the minute after Biden is inaugurated.

Process servers, on your mark... get set...

The Independent: Trump Jr wanted for questioning by DC attorney general over alleged inaugural funds abuse

Karl Racine ‘extremely confident’ US president’s eldest son broke law

Donald Trump Jr is wanted for questioning as part of an investigation into the alleged misuse of his father’s 2017 presidential inauguration funds.

Washington DC attorney general Karl Racine said Mr Trump Jr had been notified of the request, which was sent after new evidence emerged in court filings earlier this week.

They allege that the Presidential Inaugural Committee “improperly wasted its fund” when it paid almost $50,000 (£37,000) to the Loews Madison for a block of hotel rooms on behalf of the Trump Organization.

The reservation was arranged by Mr Trump Jr’s personal assistant, the court filings claim, and the rooms appeared to have been given to a personal friend of the president’s eldest son.

Washington Post: A pillow salesman {, a CEO worth NZ $450 million} apparently has some ideas about declaring martial law

The galaxy of individuals who have orbited President Trump over the past five years is not lacking for unusual characters. Few, though, have had quite the same trajectory as businessman Michael Lindell.

Lindell is the CEO of the company My Pillow, which, as you might expect, makes pillows. His company advertises heavily on Fox News, often with spots featuring Lindell himself. A major Republican donor, he participated in an event centered on manufacturing early in Trump’s administration. Since then, he’s returned to the White House regularly and has touted his close relationship with the president. That includes an effort last August to get Trump to endorse a supposed coronavirus treatment in which Lindell had a financial stake...

The Washington Post’s Jabin Botsford captured an image of the notes Lindell was carrying with him as he went to meet with Trump. Only half of the page can be seen, but even that tells a lot.

Here’s our best attempt to capture what’s written on the page.

… BE TAKEN IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE THE
...THE CONSTITUTION
...Insurrection Act now as a result of the assault on the
...martial law if necessary upon the first hint of any
...DOD. Move Kash Patel to CIA Acting.
...on Foreign Interference in the election. Trigger
...powers. Make clear this is China/Iran
...also used domestic actors.

In the same vein (and following on from the Parler screenshot earlier in this thread): https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/15/attorney-qanon-shaman-trump-pardon-459608

Remember the Jamiroquai tryhard wannabe who lives with his Mum and can only eat organic food? His lawyer thinks the same thing. Trump "owes" them a pardon. Oh and he's considering giving one to Stephen Bannon, yet another former dropkick, uh, "aide" as well.

The Washington Post - Opinion - Trump’s future looks rotten

today

President Trump faces a horrid future.

He is the first U.S. president in history to be impeached twice; he lost the popular vote twice; he lost both the House and Senate for his party; and more than 383,000 Americans have died from covid-19 on his watch.

He has clearly sewn up the title of “worst president ever.”

If found guilty by a soon-to-be Democratic-controlled Senate, he will be unable to run for office again and may lose his post-presidential benefits (e.g., salary, travel allowance).

But that is far from his biggest worry.

Trump may be sued civilly or charged criminally for tax avoidance or other financial crimes that state prosecutors in New York are investigating.

Depending on the charges, he could face significant fines or even imprisonment.

Speaking of finances, Trump reportedly has more than $400 million in loans coming due.

However, his banks are cutting ties. Deutsche Bank, which holds about $340 million of the debt, and Signature Bank do not want to do business with him.

It is far from clear what lender is going to take him on as a client.

Trump may also face a federal criminal investigation for seeking to change election results in Georgia during two phone calls with state election officials - one of which was recorded. ...

That was all before we got to his Jan. 6 activities. ...

The Washington Post - In Trump’s final days, a spree of environmental rollbacks

today

Rules affect oil and gas drilling, mining and logging, along with energy efficiency standards and restrictions on toxic chemicals

The Trump administration has gone on a final spree of environmental rollbacks in its final days, loosening standards for equipment Americans use to heat their homes, reducing protected habitat for the northern spotted owl and opening conservation lands in California and Utah to development.

The flurry of new rules - several of which will help the fossil fuel, logging and mining industries - sets up a clash with the incoming Biden administration. ...

Trump is the most anti-nature president in U.S. history, so it comes as no surprise that his administration is doubling down by selling off anything and everything before they leave office,” said Jenny Rowland-Shea, a senior policy analyst for public lands at the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank.

What we’re seeing right now is a last-ditch, desperate effort by the Trump administration to rubber-stamp as many permits, sign as many contracts and cut as many protected areas as it can to make a mess for the incoming Biden administration.”

The oil, gas and mining industries stand to gain the most from these final rule changes. ...

I was just reading about that dumbarse real estate agent from Texas. Someone commented how it's funny she went from (paraphrased) "we're going to go in and take over the place, life or death" to "oh, I didn't know it was going to be violent, I thought I was there for a peaceful protest". Um, okay...your Twitter feed doesn't read like that either, idiot: https://twitter.com/dotjenna (note: full of conspiracy theory bs).

Poor, misguided snowflake. Hope you enjoy your time in prison, and no, you don't deserve a pardon - none of your thug friends do, either.
