It's okay, I'm sure Trump cares about her just as much as he did, say, last Monday morning. In other words, 0.

Plus she's changed her bs story, so why should anyone believe her?
I wonder if anyone selling their house with her will pull their listing now? I know I certainly would.

Trump is planning an 'elaborate' send-off for himself before Biden's inauguration. He wants a red carpet, military band, and a 21-gun salute.

President Donald Trump is planning an "elaborate, military-style sendoff" for himself before President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20, according to ABC News.

Trump hopes to walk down a red carpet while a military band plays, sources familiar with the plans told the broadcaster.

He's even discussed a flypast by US Air Force fighter jets, ABC News said.

It has also been reported that Trump has asked about the possibility of a 21-gun salute, according to the Associated Press.

Manchild!   😦

Still a lot of Republicans there who think he's God. Sigh.

Like I said, I pity Joe - it won't be an easy job winning the MAGA crowd over (if it's even possible), who are just used to 4 years of Trump's non-stop lies and outright bs:

He can have the parade if he pays for. Poor sausage.

Hah. I'll bet that if such a parade goes ahead, the troops will be carrying unloaded weapons.

Also, the occasion would be an excellent time for a huge contingent of Never-Trumpers to provide a thunderous background chorus of boos and jeers.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

Parler, the favorite social media tool for domestic terrorists, was badly written by all accounts.

In case you don't know, when you take a photo or video, your device adds "Exchangeable Image Format", also known as EXIF

Most cameras and smartphones these days add basic parameters such as the mode in which the photo was taken, the shutter speed, ISO, aperture data.

If you're using a smartphone, and you have "location services" turned on it stores the location of the photograph. "Location services" is used heavily on a phone: directions, weather, news, Google maps, Apple maps....

Most bulletin boards / social media sites remove EXIF. For instance, here's the EXIF information for the cartoon posted above. It's completely devoid of anything sensitive

EXTENSION --- .webp, FILEFORMAT --- WebP, MIMETYPE--- image/webp
WIDTH --- 600, HEIGHT ---- 531
BYTEORDER ---- LittleEndian

In English, I couldn't figure out anything about SideFace from the photo's "metadata"

While Geekzone is completely clean, I can see that Trademe doesn't remove the "author's" field. For example on my home, the Trademe photos have the real estate's agent name. Sloppy.

Parler wasn't so secure. They didn't strip any metadata, which often gives a lot of sensitive information.

Gizmodo: Leaked Parler data Points to users at police Stations, U.S. military bases

Location data gleaned from thousands of videos posted on the social network Parler and extracted in the days before Amazon restricted access to app this week, reveal its users included police officers around the U.S. and service members stationed on bases at home and abroad.

The presence on Parler of active military and police raises concerns, experts said, about their potential exposure to far-right conspiracy theories and extremist ideologies enabled by the platform’s practically nonexistent moderation and its stated openness to hate speech.

Military officials have long considered infiltration and recruitment by white supremacist groups a threat. Groups that endorsed a wide range of racist beliefs appear to have been operating openly on Parler, the experts said, with the de facto permission of its owners.

The FBI has likewise raised concerns over law enforcement agents adopting radical views and being recruited—viewing their access to secured buildings, elected officials, and other VIPs as a singular threat.

Watching the militarisation of Washington on CNN, I have to wonder what the odds are of one armed National Guardsman out of 25,000 being radicalised and deciding to go for martyrdom while taking out the new leaders. How unlikely, really, is that?

The Root: Massachusetts woman fired from hospital after being identified in Capitol coup photo by her own daughter.

Listen: The attempted coup at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, was a terrible event. Terrible. It was treasonous, horrifying and an undeniable threat to American democracy.

That being said, the fallout has been funny as hell.

It would be much more effective to totally ignore it. No media coverage, no booing, no spectators. Trump would hate that.

The New York Times -  ‘Queens Man Impeached’: A Paper Gives Trump the Local Treatment

Jan 14, 2021

A series of headlines have brought attention to the Queens Daily Eagle, a small outlet in the borough where the president was born.

Shortly after the House of Representatives impeached President Trump on Wednesday, the Queens Daily Eagle, an outlet that covers the borough where Mr. Trump was born and raised, offered its readers a decidedly local spin on the news: “Queens man impeached - again.”

The Queens Daily Eagle had gone with local-angle treatment twice before in its coverage of major Trump news.

Queens man impeached” was the headline for its Dec. 19, 2019, article on the first impeachment.

On Nov. 7, 2020, the paper did a callback - “Queens man evicted” - to note Mr. Trump’s election loss.

All three exercises in dry newsroom humor drew wide attention, bringing recognition to a two-year-old publication that got its start when the local news industry was in crisis.
