I've been reading some of the Youtube comments from the hard core religious mob. Many are still denying reality and saying Trump is still the prez, Biden stole the election, blah blah blah.

Trump final send off was way too funny.

Trump had wanted the Blue Angels to fly over, tanks, rock bands, thousands of screaming fans, tearing off their clothes in sorrow:

The whole shebang, the whole ball of wax, the whole enchilada

What he got was a complete US news blackout. It has only been covered overseas.

The most extensive coverage was from the Bangkok Post.

Here's what Trump got
  • 500 fans (way too funny)
  • a 21 gun salute
  • no Blue Angels
  • no tanks
  • no rock bands
  • not even (ex)Vice President Mike Pence
He only got the 21 gun salute because he asked for it, and out of pity, he got it.

How the mighty whitey have fallen.

Steams "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye"

And they played 'My Way' as he left.

Isn't that normally played at funerals?

They'll do that soon enough.

Q followers coming to the realisation it was a lie:

Not all of them. Going from your other comment:

He's been President for 20 minutes now and already done more than Donald Orange Trump's done in four years.

this may be part of what makes QAnon so effective. Prior to Trump taking office his supporters had all these crazy (Trump-fuelled) predictions about what he'd do and how great he'd be, and yet by the end his term he'd accomplished practically nothing apart from stacking the supreme court. So QAnon resolved the cognitive dissonance inherent in "Trump promised all these things but never delivered" by switching the thinking to "He is doing lots of things, it's just secret!". The fact that you never hear publicly about anything he's doing just proves how effectively he's doing it.

About QAnon...

But yeah, the Washington Post article says some people are now thinking Trump is free to work behind the scenes to bring The Storm...

And (at least on the CNBC clip I saw) YMCA - was that the network trolling or did he seriously have that played?

Didn't Trump date the construction worker in Village People before he married the slapper from Slovenia?

freitasm:

"Trump departs Washington a pariah as his era in power ends"

But the underlying problems remain:

One thing Trump's presidency undoubtedly accomplished: revealing in stark fashion the racist, hate-filled, violent undercurrents of American society that many had chosen previously to ignore. It became impossible to overlook as Trump's presidency concluded with violent riots of White nationalists and neo-Nazis at the Capitol.

Don't worry, there's sill the impeachment trial.

And if you're really lucky, and he isn't convicted, he might run again in 2024 which will give a years worth of campaign entertainment.

And if you're really SUPER lucky, he might win the presidency back and give you another 4 whole years quality entertainment right through to 2029!
