And who should we send armoured technology to next, after Ukraine, against Putin? 😆

This may all sound funny, but it's not. The destabilisation of the whole region is literally turning into Russian roulette.

- NET: FTTH, OPNsense, 10G backbone, GWN APs, ipPBX
- SRV: 12 RU HA server cluster, 0.1 PB storage on premise
- IoT:   thread, zigbee, tasmota, BidCoS, LoRa, WX suite, IR
- 3D:    two 3D printers, 3D scanner, CNC router, laser cutter

I get that. But its like Russia is the only one holding the gun. If we choose to be wary and take care, thats ok, this war and thread will be active for another 3 years as we hope Putin gets routed by his own people. Yes that can happen, but who is paying for it as we and the media just sit on our keyboards?

Russia's Civil War - Prigozhin Makes His Move

Prigozhin has launched a military coup in Russia and after Putin condemned his coup attempt, the Wagner Group has called for the removal of Putin from office. The Southern Military District Office and government buildings in Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh have been taken by the Wagner Group.

Tomorrows headline

"Prigozhin slips while in the bath and plunges 12 storeys to his death"

When you take on the Capo di Tutti Capi and fail you don't have a small accident, you have a very visible, messy death. For example you get hung off iron hooks with the death filmed for possible later viewing by the boss (link is G-rated, to a history page).

Or as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "When you strike at a king, you must kill him."

With Russians putting antique low-tech, weapons into action, I expect they'll be using this secret WWII weapon to reduce Ukrainian morale, called either "Who me?" or "Poo me?" depending on the historian.

The real roots of [Pam Dalton at the Monell Chemical Senses Center] work go back to World War II -- to a compound called Who Me that was designed for use by the French Resistance. Who Me smelled like fecal matter, according to Dalton, and was issued in pocket atomizers. The plan was for a Resistance member to sidle up close to one of the German officers then occupying Paris and unobtrusively spray him.

"This, of course, would totally embarrass the officer," Dalton explains straight-faced. "And Germany would then lose the war." The flaw in the plan -- or perhaps, one of the flaws in the plan -- was that Who Me's ingredients were extremely volatile and therefore hard to control: The person who does the spraying ends up smelling as bad as the sprayee. For two weeks, Paris reeked. Afterward, "The experiment was pretty much deemed a failure," Dalton says.

Corruption ... In Russia!?!

I've never heard of such a thing!

Surely the end of the world is nigh when Russian civil servants would put their own financial gain ahead of the proletariat. It's a betrayal of working-class ideals by an indifferent bourgeoisie.

What a terrible turn in Russia in recent days.

Next you'll tell me Russian soldiers have been stealing children choo-choo trains form cities they liberated.

Prigozhin to be dismantled

They can get him that way, but he's probably safe from defenestration for at least a little while. As Lukashenko pointed out, if they respond by killing him then the next guy to come along won't be persuaded to turn around 200km from Moscow.

Edited to add: @freitasm, bug in the site, that link is being truncated at the apostrophe in People's, should be https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People's_Court_(Germany).

NZ Government's lawyers have spent 40,500 hours working on Kim Dotcom extradition to the US case over the past decade.

If those lawyers were working 40-hour weeks, the effort exerted would be 19 years and six months

Why are we protecting him?

Mar 26, 2022: "Everyone hates Nazis, right? Not the US and Ukraine. They were the only 2 countries at the UN General Assembly voting AGAINST ‘combating the glorification of Nazism’ in December. Makes you wonder if the allegations about Nazis in Ukraine are true?"

And months later, 9 Aug 2022

"The Ukrainian Govt put me on [the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation ] list with truth-teller @ggreenwald

Glad that I could help educate people about the reality of this US proxy war. Winter is coming with a major economic collapse. It's not easy to get the truth these days. You're welcome 😘 "
