If Kim Kardashian presses the button, her hair turns all frizzy. If Trump does, we all turn into crispy critters. That affects my priorities somewhat.

I don't worry about things I cannot control. Which is why there are people like you and Fred99 to save me :)
It is an awesome responsibility. We will do the best we can.

gzt:MaxLV: The Press Pool screaming blue murder because they weren't told about and taken to dinner with his family is classic!
By convention for a long time the press pool is assigned to cover the president and the president-elect 24/7. As in the case of Kennedy and Reagan, if there is a serious incident it is in everyone's interest to have accurate information available from multiple sources immediately.
The pool would not have been in the restaurant. They would just hang around outside in case anything newsworthy happened. Ie; some unexpected world event and the president elect can step outside and make an immediate comment.
That explains their (the press pool's) perceived privileges and rights. They need a reality check every so often as to their real purpose. Hint: it's NOT society page reporting....

You are implying the press pool wanted to be in the restaurant with Trump to report on his dinner. That is not the case.
‘Not a Normal Situation’: Reporters Criticize Trump for Ditching Press Pool for Dinner
(CNSNews.com) - President-elect Donald Trump broke with protocol Tuesday night, leaving his New York City penthouse for an unannounced dinner with his family – and without a media entourage.
Trump was applauded by fellow diners when he walked into the 21 Club in New York, the Associated Press reported.
But reporters, who were told that Trump was in for the evening, gave him a round of boos.

Google it yourself, it's all about how the 'press pool' and their 'employers' were upset they weren't told about his **private 'dining out' with his family**
So what is your point? What makes this so important to you? Who cares?

How would you feel if someone responded to your posts in this manner?
It has happened to me more than once. I feel fine.

Things like the Hamilton imbroglio. Mike Pence goes to see Hamilton on Broadway. At the end of the show the crew reads an open letter to VP-elect, saying they're worried about the future for diverse communities. The note is respectful and well within boundaries of their free speech rights.
Trump goes out, crazy on Twitter, demanding an apology from the group. He says it's horrible, harrassment and all.
Meanwhile Mike Pence says the show was great and he doesn't feel offended at all and the crew had the right to read the letter.
You can see where this is going. Trump doesn't even understand the concept of difference between freedom of speech and harassment.
It doesn't look good for them.

Mouth before brain + zero political experience = Fail
Factor in first meetings with leaders of other nations, ouch
Now this... Trump owes a few hundred million dollars to Deutsche Bank, which is now being investigated by the Justice Department and facing a $14 billion fine.
See the conflict of interest there? If that investigation disappears and in a few years time Trump's debt is cleared off, how can one be sure one is not the result of another?
And people voted him because he "represented them". Yeah, right.
