dafman:

Normally, investigations follow an alleged crime. On this occasion, the investigations are in search of an alleged crime.

Ummm - nope,

Here's the indictment:

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE REPORTS SIGHTINGS OF MULTICOLORED JEWISH SPACE LASERS ACROSS U.S.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene reported that there had been numerous sightings of Jewish space lasers across the United States today.

Greene said that the “increased Jewish-space-laser activity” was a matter of deep concern, although she was not certain of the lasers’ purpose.

“You’ll have to ask the Rothschilds,” she said. “But it can’t be anything good.”

Complaining that the use of the Jewish lasers had gone unchecked, she blasted the Biden Administration for its inaction on what she called “the No. 1 threat to our national security.”

“I don’t expect Sleepy Joe to do anything about it,” she said. “We’ll just have to wait until August when Donald Trump’s President again.”

Make sure you go onto Youtube, and gives this a thumbs-up, and maybe praise "The Arizona Republic" writers. It's getting a lot of thumbs-down from Republicans.

"We need you to stop the counting': President Trump's allies pressure Arizona state Maricopa County supervisors

"Then-President Donald Trump tried to speak directly with the chair of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in the weeks after the November 2020 election as his allies sought to change the election results in a state he narrowly lost to Democrat Joe Biden.

New records obtained by The Arizona Republic reveal the behind-the scenes efforts by Trump, his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, and state GOP Chair Kelli Ward to pressure the county supervisors, who make up the elected body that oversees elections in the state’s most populous county."

If you think you're going to win, why would you ask them to stop the counting?

Oh, wait...

The Washington Post - Trump said he was the 'king' of the tax code. Now he is feigning ignorance.

today

When former president Donald Trump weighed in on the criminal tax case against his business this weekend, some saw a tacit admission to the schemes the Trump Organization is accused of. ...

Trump is mounting a defense: one of ignorance. (Okay, maybe this stuff happened, but we - or at least I - didn’t know it was illegal.)

And knowledge of the tax law is vital to proving tax fraud.

There is one massive problem with all of this, though. And that’s that Trump has spent years telling us he is, in fact, the world’s - and even history’s - foremost expert on the tax code.

By the way, just so you know, I know more formulas, I know more about tax abatements, I know more about taxes than any human being that God ever created,” Trump said in March 2016.

I know every form of tax - believe me - from the [value-added taxes] to the fair tax to - every single form of tax,” he said in August 2015.

That same month, Trump claimed, “Look, nobody knows the tax code better than I do. Okay? I know it better. I’m the king of the tax code.”

And after the New York Times in October 2016 obtained a 1995 tax return that suggested Trump went to great lengths to avoid paying taxes, Trump tweeted: “I understand the tax laws better than almost anyone, which is why I’m the one who can truly fix them.”

He added two days later: “I know how the tax code works better than anyone, and I am going to fix it so it is fair, and just, and works for you and your family.”

Trump also said in January 2016, “I use every single thing in the book. And I have great people.”

That last one, in particular, now looms pretty large. Trump wasn’t just attesting to his own intricate knowledge of the finer points of the tax code, but also to the acumen of those surrounding him.

The totality of his comments practically screams: We knew exactly what we were doing at all times, and I concerned myself with these matters greatly.

He's shot himself in the foot so many times it's a wonder he can still walk.

Trump sues Twitter, Google and Facebook alleging 'censorship' - BBC News

Mr Trump called the lawsuit "a very beautiful development for our freedom of speech".

Probably will email people asking for money to support the lawsuit. Grifters are gonna grift.

Trump is dumb as a door. Private companies can't censor. That is a government prerogative. Facebook is just as entitled as @Freitasm to drop the banhammer on anyone they like. Maybe Trump should go sue a golf course for not giving him enough holes in one.

He is so dumb he is setting himself up to be put under oath.

Teams of lawyers will be working on leading questions to trap him into lie after lie after lie.

Worse, he may end up confessing under oath to a range of criminal actions.

Trump sues Mesopotamians alleging counting is biased against Republicans.

Trump: "Mesopotamians are bringing counting. They're bringing tallying. They're mathematicians. And some, I assume, are good people."
