I think most people would shocked by the cost of the secret service and associated security for the entire POTUS family. But it's budgeted for and ultimately a pretty small drop in a very very large bucket.
Also provided for life.

Yeah but to a MUCH lesser degree. It gets scaled down each time a new President is elected and monitored. For example GB Senior gets less protection than Junior who gets less than Obama when he leaves office.
They monitor things and adjust as required. They are entitled to the similar level of protection as the current POTUS if a direct threat is made.

Only for the President and spouse, plus kids up to to 16 years old. Older kids don't get the protection after the term.

Fred99:networkn:Fred99:benokobi:freitasm:vexxxboy:he just has no clue on how to be diplomatic. He should have known not to come out in public about talking to the Taiwanese leader and then why would he mention about whats the problem when the USA sell military hardware to Taiwan when he should know they have to by law. Then his wife wants to stay in NY while their son finishes school at a cost of a million a day of NY taxpayers money for security .
Your tax dollars paying for someone who is not afraid of saying he doesn't pay tax...
He pays the tax he's obligated to pay?
Does he?
Do you not think the IRS would have carted him to prison otherwise?
He says he is "under audit" - that being the reason why he wasn't following convention to release his returns.

I heard on CNN that Bill Clinton passed the law that allowed losses to be carried over for multiple years. If he used this it's just his accountants doing their jobs.
Well of course there's no "if" about that for the years his tax records were leaked, and yes - that was legal.
What he's been doing more recently, then nobody but Trump and his team, and the IRS know. Only one person can fix that and stop conjecture, and that's Trump himself. The IRS have stated that being under audit doesn't mean he can't release records, so Trump is lying about the reason he won't release his records. It's not law that he has to disclose them - just "convention". Under those circumstances, it's pretty reasonable to conclude that he doesn't want to disclose the records because there's something he doesn't want the public to see. That is not conspiracy theory. However, conspiracy theories about his reasons to not disclose are inevitable.
Time has named Trump, Person of the Year.
The US is just a big, shallow, game it seems.

Person of the Year is not based on being the best person, just the one that has influenced the world and particularly the USA the most in 2016. That is hands down Donald Trump. Every recent President Elect apart from George W has been named Person of the year by Time.
Maybe so, but its a shallow game. Person of the Year to most people, means a great person of the year, not an idiot

Not Time's "person of the year" it shouldn't. Although "great" could be referring to the World's Greatest Liar.
If you want confirmation of Time Magazine's attitude, then they've awarded him with the award as President of what they call the Divided States of America.

Next thing is he'll put in charge arms dealer to be the counter terrorist chief
Time was gonna name Osama bin Laden as their person of the year back in 2001. That went down like a gas chamber joke at a Jewish wedding and it was quickly changed to someone less controversial.
