I guess that means they wont be requiring the services of the police at any time in the future then.

You do have to wonder what the expected response would be if there was a robbery or a violent altercation in their store...if they think the police are like the WW2 German Army, then surely they won't be calling them for help?

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/128069637/faces-of-a-protest-who-were-the-250-kiwis-arrested-at-the-parliament-occupation

A profile on some of the protesters arrested at Parliament this month. Of course, once they were arrested, the "Voices for Freedom" and Brian Tamaki's crowd, etc - who had a big hand in organising the protest - basically disappeared and hung them out to dry.

Frustratingly (IMO), these groups seem to completely escape any sort of consequence or being held accountable for the things they say and do...for now, at least. I hope that changes soon.

I had this site brought to my attention tonight. This is quite...disturbing.

https://www.nuremberg.nz/

Almost a "whos-who" of people behind the antivaxx movement and their supporters (under the so-called "Heroes" tab).

De-linking that. Lets not give these sorts of sites any attention or referrals from here.

Furthermore, hosted on a Vocus residential connection. I think a few abuse reports to Vocus could take care of that part.

My apologies - thanks for unlinking that. I guess I was just frustrated that these people can do this sort of crap and (seemingly) get away with it.

Good point, but it looks like the person who retweeted it has already complained to Vocus but (so far) they haven't done anything.

I agree with Keith Ng here, why is the media so full of stories about how we have to reach out to and understand the protesters? Why is there no calls for them to understand the rest of the country?

The protesters who were arrested are slowly starting to make their way through the court system. LOL at that Sonny guy and his conversations with the judge. I wonder what planet he thinks he's on.

Wow, this guy sounds like real salt of the earth material...not 🙄

Murder of politicians and people who disagree with him? Prison is the best place for you, IMO.

Re the original protests (and the Clownvoy) - this guy certainly made sure he was in on the action.

Someone else has noticed it too. https://thespinoff.co.nz/politics/04-04-2022/inaction-on-nuremberg-site-prompts-calls-for-overhaul-of-a-system-not-fit-for-purpose

Hopefully this leads to some action, along the lines of this drivel being taken offline.

I note that the Dunedin Protestors are still in the Octagon; guessing they weren't happy that only some mandates were removed as new signs appeared last week for all mandates to be removed.

However they do seem to be pretty peaceful and aside from killing the lawn don't seem to be doing any harm.

Hopefully a good few days of extra strength 'Southern' weather comes along soon and it forces them to leave.
