Right! If he's innocent, he should have nothing to hide by answering questions. Of course, the coward hides behind the Fifth Amendment, like his BFFs John Eastman and Jeffrey Clark. Such fine, noble, upstanding people.

Listening to the BBC this morning apparently pleading the Fifth in a federal case means that no inference can be made about why you did ie no presumption of guilt.

But in a civil case that rule doesn't apply and the counsel for the other side can really hammer you.

This is a civil case.

If he has nothing to hide, he should have no issues/objections to the warrant being unsealed.

If he does have something to hide, he'll object and call it a witch hunt and blah blah blah.

Either way, Garland has called Trump's bluff. Let's see what happens next.

Since a federal magistrate must sign off on a warrant, are you accusing the judiciary of abuse of power?

    Since the FBI cannot comment on pending investigations or reveal grand jury information, why are you demanding an “explanation” of the search?

Why are some Republicans now calling to defund the FBI? How can the party claim to be on the side of law enforcement with such proposals?

Is Trump subject to laws prohibiting unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and solicitation of voting fraud?

When you say a search of a former president’s home has never happened before, has there ever been a president who instigated a coup attempt?
       Has there ever been a president who encouraged submission of phony electors?
       Or one who removed 15 boxes of presidential documents from the White House, including highly classified material?

Trump himself signed a law increasing the penalty for anyone who “knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location” from one to five years.
       Should the Justice Department not enforce this law?

They are all very valid and pertinent questions, I fully agree with you. However, to the orange buffoon's legions of followers, it's still a witch hunt - even though the last point is very pertinent. The rules don't apply to Trump, if you ask his followers. He's the victim, not the other way around 🙄
