https://www.marquette.edu/news-center/2022/new-marquette-law-school-national-survey-finds-a-third-of-public-dont-believe-trump-had-secret-documents.php

Just found this while Googling how popular Trump is now. A fairly detailed survey, but shows that Joe still leads Trump by a slim margin. Trump's unfavourability ratings are quite poor, Joe's are somewhat better.

The Washington Post - Trump’s special master pick turns into a headache   (condensed)

23 September

A push by Donald Trump’s lawyers to appoint a special master in the Mar-a-Lago documents case has quickly lost its main utility, with an appeals court restoring the Justice Department’s access to the documents with classified markings.

Halting the Justice Department’s review of those documents - and by extension slowing its criminal probe of Trump - appeared to be its essential aim. In the end, it bought about two weeks’ worth of delay. ...

And now Trump’s lawyers are contending with a series of very public and potentially embarrassing exchanges prompted by the special master they themselves recommended for the post. ...

First, Dearie [pressed] Trump’s legal team on its suggestions that Trump might have declassified the documents.

Their failure to provide any real evidence that declassification took place was rebuked first by Dearie, and then by the Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. ...

And now comes another headache for the Trump legal team, courtesy of Dearie.

Dearie pressed Trump’s lawyers on another of Trump’s repeated suggestions about what really went down: the still-baseless theory that the FBI might have planted evidence. ...

In both cases, it was clear there was no actual evidence to back this up.

Trump continuing tradition of spending other people's money. PT Barnum would be proud.

I cry for humanity.

BBC News: Donors spending millions on Trump's legal battles

As Donald Trump's legal woes mount, donors and the Republican party have paid millions in dollars of his legal fees.

His newest legal headache saw him and three of his children hit with a fraud lawsuit, which alleges they lied about the value of property "by billions".

Financial data shows that he has already spent almost NZD 2 million in donations fighting the case in 2022.

Washington Post: Jan. 6 Twitter witness: Failure to curb Trump spurred ‘terrifying’ choice

In an explosive hearing in July, an unidentified former Twitter employee testified to the House Jan. 6 committee that the company had tolerated false and rule-breaking tweets from Donald Trump for years because executives knew their service was his “favorite and most-used … and enjoyed having that sort of power.”

Now, in an exclusive interview with The Washington Post, the whistleblower, Anika Collier Navaroli, reveals the terror she felt about coming forward and how eventually that fear was overcome by her worry that extremism and political disinformation on social media pose an “imminent threat not just to American democracy, but to the societal fabric of our planet.”

“I realize that by being who I am and doing what I’m doing, I’m opening myself and my family to extreme risk,” Navaroli said. “It’s terrifying. This has been one of the most isolating times of my life.”

“I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t believe the truth matters,” she said.
...
Twitter banned Trump two days after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, citing fears he could incite further violence. By that time, he had sent more than 56,000 tweets over 12 years, many of which included lies and baseless accusations about election fraud. One month earlier, he had tweeted, “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!”

Part 1: In case you missed it, this article was the tip of the iceberg about the streaming gaming channel called "Twitch" as a real-life grooming ground for pedophiles. Not some made up cabal of child eating Satanist Democrats pedophiles, but real sexual predators.

Further independent investigations having shown it's much much more prevalent than what Wired had found.

Wired: Children Stream on Twitch—Where Potential Predators Find Them

...The dozens of active accounts WIRED discovered on Twitch sometimes contain harrowing conversations between apparent children and strangers. In some instances, the strangers “dare” young streamers for their entertainment....

Part 2: Republican from Florida, an alleged underage sex trafficker facing federal prosecution, announcing he'll be on Twitch. He's already on right-wing extremists platforms Rumble and GETTR

Gizmodo: One Day After Report of Child Predators on Twitch, Matt Gaetz Joins Twitch

He really is a dodgy character. Of course, Republicans can probably see no wrong in electing the clown into office as he's on their side.

In a world where decadence no longer seems to be a virtue, reflection becomes increasingly difficult.

I think hexadecimalicence took over around 2000 or so. And long before decadence it was duodecimalicence.

No, it was not a typo for ‚unvirtue‘ - more like sarcasm. :-)
