LOL. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR REPUBLICANS IN NOVEMBER could easily mean two totally different things.

SHUDDER....John Key said if he were in the USA he would have voted for Trump.
Ideology won in the face of gross incompetence for Key (take your pick who I am thinking of)

In fact, meaning Trump 2016. The door is open on QAnon Trump 2024. Bolsonaro 2022 not a problem. Key later said things were getting pretty crazy on the right and he's not sure he'd really want to vote on that side.
Even in 2016 it was clear he was a complete idiot.

TUCKER CARLSON WARNS THAT ALEX JONES’S BILLION-DOLLAR PENALTY WILL HAVE CHILLING EFFECT ON LYING
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—A Connecticut jury’s imposition of a billion-dollar penalty on Alex Jones will have a “chilling effect on lying,” Tucker Carlson warned. The Fox News host said that the jury’s decision “was no less than a direct attack on the lying life style enjoyed by so many Americans.”
“For those of us who make our living by spreading falsehoods and baseless conspiracy theories, this is a time to be very, very afraid,” he said. “I know I speak for many Fox viewers when I say I don’t want to live under a tyranny of facts,” he added.
Carlson’s concerns about the impact of the jury’s decision on the mendacity profession found support on Capitol Hill from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
“I was gonna say that the jury was manipulated by Jewish mind-control rays beamed down from the Rothschild family’s satellites, but now I can’t afford to,” she said.

Meanwhile, back at Trump-a-Lago ...
The Washington Post - Trump worker told FBI about moving Mar-a-Lago boxes on ex-president’s orders
12 October 2022
A Trump employee * has told federal agents about moving boxes of documents at Mar-a-Lago at the specific direction of the former president ...
... after Trump advisers received a subpoena in May for any classified documents that remained at Mar-a-Lago, Trump told people to move boxes to his residence at the property.
That description of events was corroborated by security-camera footage ...
Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich said in a statement: “The Biden administration has weaponized law enforcement and fabricated a Document Hoax in a desperate attempt to retain political power.”
Budowich accused the Justice Department of a “continued effort to leak misleading and false information to partisan allies in the Fake News,” and said that to do so “is nothing more than dangerous political interference and unequal justice. Simply put, it’s un-American.”
un-American ??? 🧐

Independent: Sinavaiana Gabbard says her niece’s career is all about the pursuit of power, and her bid for the presidency in 2020 was the culmination of four decades of Butler’s efforts to seek political influence. “Once again I find my niece’s apparent penchant for parroting extremist toadies such as Tucker Carlson and vile ‘strongmen’ such as Vladimir Putin, to be problematic and deeply troubling,” Sinavaiana Gabbard, a retired professor of English at the University of Hawaii, told The Independent.
The NY Times - Live Updates: Jan. 6 Panel Plans Vote to Subpoena Trump
breaking
The House committee investigating the Capitol riot is said to be planning a vote to call the former president to testify under oath, an aggressive move that is likely to set off a court battle.
WASHINGTON - The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol plans to issue a subpoena to former President Donald J. Trump to question him about his role in events that led to the violence that consumed Congress, a remarkable escalation as the panel begins wrapping up its inquiry.
Representative Bennie Thompson, Democrat of Mississippi and the chairman of the committee, foreshadowed the move at the beginning of its hearing on Thursday - possibly the panel’s final public session - saying that lawmakers could vote on “further investigative action” during the meeting.

The NY Times - Supreme Court Rejects Trump Request to Intervene in Documents Case
breaking
WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a request from former President Donald J. Trump to intervene in the litigation over documents seized from his Florida estate.
The court’s order, which was a sentence long, was a stinging rebuke to Mr. Trump.
There were no noted dissents, and the court gave no reasons, saying only: “The application to vacate the stay entered by the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit on Sept. 21, 2022, presented to Justice Thomas and by him referred to the court is denied.”
