Nice try but I think Trump must be bored and is looking for enemies he thinks he can easily do over. I hope he loses this ridiculous lawsuit as well, along with his failed election fraud ones, and his many, many other ones.

No not bored, just running out of 'scam' money!

Oh and he still has lawyers ?

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I am guessing they are either really stupid (which seems quite likely given some of the rulings) or they have been paid cash up front (I doubt that happened).

The good lawyers know being [aid will be a massive issue and the hit on their reputation is not worth the little money they will get.

Bit worried what MF is going to call this thread when Trump gets what is coming with the numerous pending court cases. Might have to use some short cuts? Lets start with DTIT?  There, that leaves some room.

I wonder if this 2018 Time magazine cover graces a Mar-a-largo wall, of the orange whale Balaenoptera foetidus?

Any lawyer working for Trump is indeed really stupid, or works for him out of love - he's never, ever going to pay his lawyers anything. He has a long history of never paying lawyers, yet (some) seem to throw themselves at his feet to represent him, like working for him (and I guess, by extension, losing) on one of his cases is like some weird kind of badge of honour, or something.

The NY Times - Trump Won’t Commit to Backing the G.O.P. Nominee in 2024

Feb. 2, 2023

Donald J. Trump refused to say he would support the next Republican presidential nominee if it was not him, exposing a potential quagmire along the party’s path toward reclaiming the White House in 2024 and showcasing, once again, the former president’s transactional spin on political loyalty.

In a radio interview on Thursday, the conservative commentator Hugh Hewitt asked Mr. Trump if he would support “whoever” wins the party’s nomination next year. ...

It would depend,” Mr. Trump said, “It would have to depend on who the nominee was.”  ...

William P. Barr, who served as attorney general during the Trump administration, called Mr. Trump’s tactics “extortion” ....

What other great leader has done this? Telling the party, ‘If it’s not me, I’m going to ruin your election chances by telling my base to sit home. And I’ll sabotage whoever you nominate other than me.’ It shows what he’s all about,” Mr. Barr said. “He’s all about himself.

I just had to correct Barr's quote.

Well, I guess at least one of his lawyers is tired of not being paid anymore. Either that, or she's just sick of his nonstop lies and bs.

The NY Times - Trump Likened to Mob Boss John Gotti in Ex-Prosecutor’s New Book

breaking

Donald J. Trump grew his business, fortune and fame “through a pattern of criminal activity,” according to a new book by a veteran prosecutor, who reveals that the Manhattan district attorney’s office once considered charging the former president with racketeering, a law often used against the Mafia.

The prosecutor, Mark F. Pomerantz, resigned in protest early last year after the newly elected district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, decided not to seek an indictment of Mr. Trump at that time. ...

But for months beforehand, Mr. Pomerantz had mapped out a wide-ranging possible case against the former president under the state racketeering law, according to the soon-to-be published book, “People vs. Donald Trump.”

That broader approach was based on the theory that Mr. Trump had presided over a corrupt business empire for years ...

He demanded absolute loyalty and would go after anyone who crossed him. He seemed always to stay one step ahead of the law,” Mr. Pomerantz writes of Mr. Trump.

In my career as a lawyer, I had encountered only one other person who touched all of these bases: John Gotti, the head of the Gambino organized crime family.”

No surprises there, then ...  🙄

The NY Times - 2016 Trump Campaign to Pay $450,000 to Settle Nondisclosure Agreements Suit

03 Feb 2023

Former President Donald J. Trump’s 2016 campaign will pay $450,000 as part of a settlement of a long court fight over its use of nondisclosure agreements, according to documents filed on Friday in a New York federal court.

The proposed settlement with Jessica Denson, a former campaign aide whom the campaign tried to silence as she claimed she was the target of abusive treatment and sexual discrimination by another campaign member, effectively invalidates the nondisclosure agreements that hundreds of officials from Mr. Trump’s first presidential run signed. ...

Mr. Trump has made broad use of nondisclosure agreements throughout his business career and, later, his political career.

The agreements have generally sought to keep people from disclosing information about Mr. Trump, but he has also used them as a cudgel against a wide variety of aides.

Good news. This settlement voids worker NDAs, and could have major consequences for Trump.  ☺️

Here is the text of a typical NDA.

Valentine's day is close, and it reminds me of the loyalty Trump has shown his "till-death-do-we-part" wives.

Washington Post: Melania Trump was in no rush to move into the White House. That’s when she renegotiated her prenup, a new book says.

When Melania Trump stayed behind in New York after her husband’s presidential inauguration, she said it was because she didn’t want to interrupt their then-10-year-old son Barron’s school year. News stories at the time concentrated on an apparent frostiness between the first couple and on the exorbitant taxpayer costs to protect Melania and Barron away from Washington.

Those stories are true, but Washington Post reporter Mary Jordan reveals in a new book that the first lady was also using her delayed arrival to the White House as leverage for renegotiating her prenuptial agreement with President Trump.

The campaign had been full of harsh news about Trump’s alleged sexual indiscretions and infidelities, from the “grab them by the p---y” Access Hollywood tape to an affair with Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal; Melania Trump learned new details from the media coverage, Jordan writes.

The incoming first lady needed time to cool off, and “to amend her financial arrangement with Trump — what Melania referred to as ‘taking care of Barron,’ ” Jordan writes in “The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump.”
...
Yahoo: Stormy Daniels mocks Trump’s grammar in Truth Social post and says he accidentally confirmed her story

“With respect to the ‘Stormy’ nonsense, it is VERY OLD & happened a long time ago, long past the very publicly known & accepted deadline of the Statute of Limitations placed full Reliance on the JUDGEMENT & ADVICE OF COUNCIL, who I had every reason to believe had a license to practice law, was competent, & was able to appropriately provide solid legal services,” he said in his post.

Responding to Mr Trump’s attack on her, Ms Daniels referred to the former president’s insulting nickname for her.

“Thanks for just admitting that I was telling the truth about EVERYTHING. Guess I’ll take my ‘horse face’ back to bed now, Mr former ‘president’. Btw, that’s the correct way to use quotation marks,” she said, sharing a screenshot of Mr Trump’s “Truth”.

Her tweet sparked a number of sarcastic responses on Twitter.

Constitutional lawyer Mark S Zaid mocked Mr Trump further for using the word council. He said: “I am always amazed that people do not understand difference between ‘council’ and ‘counsel’. You would think with all the millions of dollars Trump spent on lawyers he would know how to properly spell the word. Oh, and Stormy is right that he just made a very important admission.”
