In a speech Saturday night, former vice president Mike Pence delivered what amounted to his strongest rebuke of Donald Trump, criticizing the former president for his role in the lead-up to the Jan. 6 attack on the United States Capitol as well as attempts to rewrite the history of that day.

“President Trump was wrong,” Pence said.

“I had no right to overturn the election. And his reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day. And I know that history will hold Donald Trump accountable.” ...

“The American people have a right to know what took place at the Capitol on January 6th,” he said. “But make no mistake about it, what happened that day was a disgrace, and it mocks decency to portray it in any other way.”

I am going to do something that surprises even me and defend Mike Pence. I can't stand his politics and his neutered behaviour regarding Trump or his brainless 'christian' BS, but when the crunch came, he actually stood up for what I genuinely believe he thinks was right. He could have taken the easy option and destroyed what is left of American democracy, but he didn't. I think he displayed real courage, even if only momentarily. Even if it was an aberration. He deserves credit for that.

Rocket Labs is US owned.

The "Big" contracts for launches are from the US military, and its easier to do that in the USA. They will keep some activity here simply because of the launch window opportunities here in NZ are much better, but eventually I see it all heading to the USA.
