Quite simply, we are doomed. This kind of thing can only become more convincing. It will be impossible for anyone to believe anything they see or hear. Any society can only function if there is a high degree of trust between individuals. Crime is a breach of that trust. Without trust, there is chaos.

Nothing that is communicated in any form other than direct personal contact can be trusted any longer, and maybe not even that. How can anyone know what truth is? How can you verify anything if everything can be faked by everyone? Welcome back to medieval village life, because that is all that will be left.

WASHINGTON, March 24 (Reuters) - Evan Corcoran, a lawyer for Donald Trump, appeared on Friday before a federal grand jury looking into Trump's retention of classified documents following the end of his presidency, testifying only after a U.S. judge rejected Corcoran's claim that doing so would violate attorney-client privilege.

Corcoran's 3-1/2 hour appearance behind closed doors was another signal that two criminal investigations into Trump led by Special Counsel Jack Smith - one centered on the documents and the other on efforts by Trump and his allies to overturn his 2020 election defeat - are gathering pace.

Trump sounds like a rabid trapped animal. For the sake of everyone, he needs to be institutionalised as soon as possible. His words and actions are not those of a rational individual. He is lashing out blindly and people will get hurt.
