BINGO!!  😊😊😊

The NY Times - Grand Jury Votes to Indict Donald Trump in New York

breaking

The unprecedented case against Trump will have wide-ranging implications.

A Manhattan grand jury voted to indict Donald J. Trump on Thursday for his role in paying hush money to a porn star ... a historic development that will shake up the 2024 presidential race and forever mark him as the nation’s first former president to face criminal charges.

An indictment will likely be announced in the coming days. By then, prosecutors working for the district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, will have asked Mr. Trump to surrender and to face arraignment on charges that remain unknown for now. ...

It is the kind of case that emboldens prosecutors and mesmerizes juries: a celebrity defendant authorizing a secret payoff to cover up a tryst with a porn star.

With the Manhattan district attorney’s office now charging Donald J. Trump in just such a case, the former president is facing a daunting set of facts.

His onetime fixer, Michael D. Cohen, will testify that Mr. Trump directed him to pay off the porn star, Stormy Daniels, and that the former president reimbursed Mr. Cohen and helped cover the whole thing up.

EDIT (same source)

A volatile new phase:

Trump has for decades avoided criminal charges despite persistent scrutiny and repeated investigations, creating an aura of legal invincibility that the indictment now threatens to puncture.

His actions surrounding his 2020 electoral defeat are the focus of a separate federal investigation.

Also, another hush money payout is being investigated, greatly increasing Trump's legal peril as it can demonstrate a pattern of behaviour. For someone who doesn't pay for sex, he sure spends a lot on it.

Trump reacts: “This is political persecution and election interference at the highest level in history.”

Either he didn't write it, or he's running his rant posts by an editor (maybe an unpaid lawyer?).

You can almost play bingo with his tired, over-used tropes.

- witch hunt

- I'm a victim

- evil Democrats and/or

- corrupt Democrats

- "the radical left"

- the US is a third world country

- liberal media are all evil too

blah blah blah, etc etc etc...

He probably just picks one or a combination and it becomes his default response to anything bad affecting him.

If you pay for the GPT+ experience it might be under less restrictions.

Though I can imagine Roger Stone, Mr Thiel, the remaining Kotch and the Pillow Guy...
They would be only too happy to pay for their own AI trained on not just Trump but all their beliefs.

Throw in some stuff from past Cambridge Analytica alumni.
No doubt in many years since they have learned more tricks.

A far smarter Trump, that can reach throughout social media, through multiple personas, to draw people in.

I think it's amusing he still calls Democrats "the Radical Left". Like, really? Even the Democrats are closer to National than Labour.

Chat GPT did say the Trump press release was about 13-14 reading age.
I expect his social media tweets off the cuff would rate even lower.

I think Chat GPT ups the age a bit on the basis of subject being political that children would have little interest in.

Literally. There's some global political comparison done by a UK university that compares different parties on global standards, by global standards the Democrats are centre-right, the Republicans are far right. The US doesn't have a left, let alone a radical one.

You might be surprised to discover that they do actually have a Green Party. They would definitely be radical left by US standards, but by NZ standards they'd probably just be centre.

IMHO,the Democrats should be re-branded the 'Rational Left' on account they're the only rational people left in America.
