IMHO,the Democrats should be re-branded the 'Rational Left' on account they're the only rational people left in America.

It is a mistake to think of the Democrats as rational. Some are but some are worse than the Republicans. In the not too distant past, they were much worse. It swings back and forth.

Very fitting - I believe he made over $1m in donations when he was doing his whining about being indicted the other week.

Makes me think of "a fool and his money are soon parted". Seriously, he won't be spending hardly any of it on his defense!

Also the DA's office sent a letter to the loud-mouthed House Republicans whining about this asking them to back off: https://www.politico.com/news/2023/03/31/bragg-defends-trump-indictment-00089927

Because, of course, if Trump were a Democrat, the Republicans would be beside themselves with glee 🙄

The NY Times - Trump Likely to Be Arraigned on Tuesday

today

Mr. Trump is likely to be arraigned on Tuesday, when the charges against him will be unsealed.

A lawyer for the former president said that he would not take a plea deal and was prepared to go to trial.

The case, which could drag on for months and whose outcome is far from clear, will test the country’s institutions and the rule of law.

It will also have vast repercussions for the 2024 campaign for the White House - a race in which Mr. Trump is still the Republican front-runner.

Mr. Trump has been charged with more than two dozen counts ... although the exact charges remain unknown.

And it is not clear that the New York case will be the first to go to trial because he still faces other investigations. ...

Mr. Trump is expected to turn himself in on Tuesday for arraignment on the indictment in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, one of his lawyers said.

Indeed, as are the majority of the world's most sensible citizens. I'm so beside myself, the two of us are having regular conversations.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

A good, thorough look at everything that's happened so far and what got us to this point (read: Trump's actions, no one else's!).

Breaking news for April first:

Trump admits he was wrong, pledges to use his prison time to meditate, and says "I've seen the errors in my way"

I do wonder what happened to that restaurant owner in Auckland who thought that covering his lawn with Trump flags was such a smart idea ? NZ public would be so sympathetic to his plight ?

Is there room for a "and convicted" in the title later?

We will make sure of it even if we had to change the column length in the database.

Sounds good.

Imagine - just for a second - if he ever saw the content of this thread. I bet he'd go apoplectic!

As an aside @freitasm, can you see if anyone from the US has ever read this thread? Specifically, from DC or Florida? 😀

(I realise it may not be possible but I've always wondered...)

Trump is not a reader ... he has probably never heard of New Zealand, and 1816 pages would be way beyond his attention span.  🙄

Stormy Trivia

The Times (UK) - Stormy Daniels: ‘Whatever happens to Trump, there’s going to be death’

31 March 2023

The news of the indictment, which came on Thursday afternoon in the United States, was, she says, “a shock. There was no warning.” She’d taken a nap, then gone outside to ride her horse.

There’s something really ironic and hilarious that I got the news about the indictment while I was sitting on a horse named Redemption,” she says.

An accomplished equestrian, she used part of the $130,000 she was paid by Trump, via Michael Cohen, to buy a horse trailer.
