I don't have inside information so can't make predictions, But I am wondering more and more, as has also been increasingly suggested on some media sites, that Trump could possibly be slammed by a very big truck no-one sees coming. While everyone is rabbiting on about the Stormy payments and misdemeanour charges, there is at least a possibility that something very much bigger is in the works and Trump and his legal oompa loompas are going to be absolutely stunned when it hits them. If I was the DA, and I had this in my arsenal, I would do everything possible to not discourage speculation about the triviality of my case. Of course I have no way of knowing that this will happen, but one can always hope. There are a few things that could conceivably turn this into something much different, like Weisselberg deciding to come clean. The grand jury is not confined to indicting Trump on the hush money. It can target any apparent crime that emerges from the investigation.

Excellent! Here's hoping Mike follows up with the rest of the verses 😜
The children were hiding down deep in their beds
While visions of jail cells danced in their heads
And Mel in high fashion and I with my tie
Retired alone to each have a cry
When out on the lawn there arose such a clamour
As FBI agents attacked with a hammer
Away to the window I attempted to scram
But I was too fat and got caught in the jamb

The Washington Post - In the United States, all eyes are on Tuesday
03 April 2023
That’s when former president Donald Trump is slated to appear for arraignment at a Manhattan courthouse on yet-unspecified criminal charges ...
“Donald Trump is not even a person anymore. He is a symbol,” right-wing commentator Glenn Beck said on Fox News. “He is a symbol of the average, everyday guy that keeps getting screwed every single time.”
How Trump - a real estate mogul, tabloid celebrity and one-term occupant of the Oval Office with a long, checkered record of legal travails - can be equated to “the average, everyday guy” is a feat of imagination perhaps only possible among his base.
While raging against the multiple criminal investigations closing in around him in different jurisdictions, the former president has decided to make lemonade with the lemons he has been handed.
Myriad pundits think the spotlight of the indictment may boost his chances in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. ...

Excellent clip about how and why Trump might be gagged during the coming legal proceedings. Plus if he goes to jail, does his Secret Service detail have to go with him? Well worth a watch.

The Night Before Justice
Twas the moment before indictment
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a spouse
The shackles were hung near the warden with care
In the hope that the Donald soon would be there
The children were hiding down deep in their beds
While visions of jail cells danced in their heads
And Mel in high fashion and I with my tie
Retired alone to each have a cry
When out on the lawn there arose such a clamour
As FBI agents attacked with a hammer
Away to the window I attempted to scram
But I was too fat and got caught in the jamb
Flashing lights and a copter up high
Lit up the compound and brightened the sky
Blinking I looked and what did I see
A prison van and a black SUV
A special counsel got out of the first
I knew in a moment the news was the worst
More rapid than eagles the lawyers appeared
I whistled, and shouted, and called though I feared
Now Rudy, now Sydney now Evan and James
Christina and Lindsey and many more names
To the court of appeals and higher I say
Dash away! Dash away! Later I’ll pay!
Like a tornado that climate change blows
The lawyers ascended to combat my woes
Up to the door of my home they all flew
With binders of writs and subpoenas too
And then, in a twinkling, I heard at the door
The banging and pounding of agents and more
As I drew in my head, and was turning around
Into the house came a man with a bound
He was dressed all in black, from his head to his boots,
And his clothes were all rumpled like honest men’s suits
Court-ready papers he had in his bag
Ready to serve or his name wasn’t Bragg
His eyes -- how they glared! his dimples enraged!
His cheeks were like fires his anger uncaged
His small bitter mouth was drawn up like a bow,
his words came like arrows, each one a blow
The stump of a pen he held tight in his teeth,
Smoke wafted up as he started to seeth
He had a broad face and a rather large girth,
I shook when he laughed, no way was it mirth
He was chubby and plump, a right angry black man
And I wept when I saw him, I knew I was damned
A glare in his eye and a nod of his head
Told me I would be better off dead
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the forms; then turned with a jerk,
And giving the finger and blowing his nose
He left by the door, as everyone knows.
He sprang to his car, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of town,
”Trump you’re a felon and you’re going down!”
