Lets say UKR wins with the help of the EU partners, and Russia caving financially which is what is happening. At Trumps first speech it will be HIS victory speech. Painful

I ended that war in 24 hours many people said, they said 'Sir, noone can end that war' and I said 'Well I'm going to do it' and I did Biden started this war because the Democrats hate the first amendment but I spoke to my very good friend Vladimir who is a really good guy a lot of people don't know that about Vladimir but I can talk to him and I know him I say 'Vladimir you have ignore Biden and let Ukraine give you back all the land Biden stole' and

Perhaps it's Trump's way of getting Putin's mind back on the primary mission of warring with Ukraine as he doesn't want to see the United States drawn into a conflict directly with all these Russian incursions into NATO territory.

I'm sure Trump will like the financial angle as well, assuming the US military manufacturers have spare product to sell into Europe. Sounds like many of the best weapon systems are on lengthy waiting lists at this point.

Point 1. US wont put troops on the ground, no way. Public will hate that. But they can and will put intel and munitions.

point 2. He said recently that we are making money, but we dont want that....  End of the day he wants to back a winner. It was Putin now its UKR. Who are backed by EU but in his victory speech EU may get a teeny mention...

Trump did add a 10% surcharge, to weapons purchases.

Trump has flipped and flopped in statements, so he is not a reliable witness to what he may do.
Like the brief positive comments after Vatican meeting., then...

Surrounded in his cabinet and key sponsors with people who have promoted Russian propaganda, hostile to Ukraine and Europe.

Putin can always give Trump Bagram Airbase bult by USSR, then watch him try to take possession for a laugh.

BTW - it expands quietly.

A not-at-all-subtle message from the Kremlin that should Europe step into an active role in the war, Russia has people stationed all over with the skills and the material to cause chaos. Maybe not enough to do critical damage, but it could certainly shut down air space and cause people to worry if not panic.

Indeed, but this is what upsets the press and travellers the most, but it is still a long way from a direct declaration of war and mobilisation.

However, the consequences are not being drawn by the press, but QUIETLY by professionals who have to prepare themselves (and are doing so). Last weekend, I saw battle tanks and special forces in our town for the first time, where heavy equipment is not normally part of everyday life – for training purposes NATO „Red Storm Bravo“ (mainly for the citizens, which why it was on a saturday 😉).

Last night, there was an (accidental) air raid siren over the city... whose meaning was unclear to some completely uninformed younger, ‘modern’ smartphone citizens, resulting in the emergency call centres being overwhelmed. Well, now they know. 😎

(I just went down to the cellar and checked the wine stock until the all-clear was given. In the event of a direct nuclear attack, the wine stock is the most important thing. 😉)

Putin attacks aid convoy again along with usual all day every day civilian targets.

‘Russia Must Start Acting Responsibly’ – Italian Official Was in Attacked UN Convoy

Trump always picks the best friends for the job.
His perhaps closest friend, we don't talk about though.

Trump Says Witkoff ‘Had No Idea About Russia,’ ‘Wasn’t Too Interested’ Before Starting Peace Negotiations
https://www.kyivpost.com/post/62005

""
Trump’s description of Witkoff’s role in negotiations with Russia, however, was more mixed.

“I set up a meeting for him to meet with President [Vladimir] Putin, thinking it would be a 15 or 20 minute meeting,” the US president recalled. “Steve had no idea about Russia, had no idea about Putin too much, didn’t know too much about politics, wasn’t too interested.”

“He was really good at real estate, but he had that quality I was looking for,” Trump continued.
""

Witkoff had 5 meetings with Putin, more with Russian diplomats, apparently learned nothing.
He also conducted these mostly alone without US diplomatic support, not even a US interpreter, no witness to meetings.

Setting up Trump for a complete disaster of a meeting with Putin.
Putin got the video of American soldiers on their knees smoothing out the red carpet for Putin.

""
Trump said he was stunned to find out that Witkoff had spoken with the Russian president for all of five hours.

The US president said that he called repeatedly to ask if Witkoff had left the meeting, before the conversation finally concluded.

“I said, ‘What the hell were you talking about for five hours?’” Trump quipped. “And he said: ‘Just a lot of interesting things, we were just talking about a lot of interesting things.’”
""

Ok...

Witkoff is a real estate billionaire so.. imo, real estate.

Just turned TV on. Zelenskyy is meeting with Euro leaders, the coalition of the willing. Thats the key issue here, the willing. Then the BBC shows a one liner after that, that Trump "Disappointed in Zelensky for not reading the latest draft proposal"

Thats BS to the extreme. Everyone knows that Trump wants a win. Tomahawks on the horizon, literally. Putin calls a meeting "that was a great meeting" No tomahawks.

Trump wants a win (not working in his Cambodia-Thailand right now) Putin is in full control. What Trump wants is what Putin, the controller wants. "I think he's tapping me" Well Donald, we all knew that but you wised up. Now you are still going down that rabbit hole. Europe and its coalition of the willing may step up, thats good. Then expect anger, tariffs, remove USA intel and munitions (again)

Trump wants a Peace Prize but all he does is undermine peace, and cost lives

The problem is that EU and many others cannot just cut the US cable. Or wait till he's out, but that costs lives in the meantime

No point in Zelenskyy reading it when the new US Security Strategy aligns with Moscow's vision, I guess...
