Winston Peters would be a good leader. Sure , he has flaws but who doesn't.
For people to suggest he is in the pocket of big corporates ignore his history of fighting big corporates.
Winston fights (in public) for what ever will give him votes. Don't worry, I think he knows which side his bread is buttered.
Remember the "Wine Box" enquiry, he alluded he had damaging info and kept drip feeding little morsels BUT never actually came out with anything of real substance. Either he didn't know what he inferred he did, in other words lied, or he was encouraged to keep quiet.
Like many opposition MPs he can spruik what ever policy he likes, safe in the knowledge he'll most likely never ever be caught out not delivering, because, (A) he'll never be in a position to be able to enact it or (B) it will be long forgotten when that chance comes his way.
I do like some of his policies, however he needs to be on a very short leash. I don't trust him to be a stable coalition partner.
