Looks like more lawyers are getting disbarred.

Plus the New York court is taking a second look at "king of subpar car loans" finances. Best case, the bond falls through, Judge withdraws offer of lower bond, Trump on the hook for full $464 million, and New York starts taking possessions of Trump's assets.

Former President Donald Trump scored a victory last week when a New York court slashed the amount he had to put up while appealing his civil fraud case to $175 million.

His lawyers had told the appellate court it was a “practical impossibility” to get a bond for the full amount of the lower court’s judgment, $464 million. All of the 30 or so firms Trump had approached balked, either refusing to take the risk or not wanting to accept real estate as collateral, they said. That made raising the full amount “an impossible bond requirement.”

But before the judges ruled, the impossible became possible: A billionaire lender approached Trump about providing a bond for the full amount.

The lawyers never filed paperwork alerting the appeals court. That failure may have violated ethics rules, legal experts say.

In an interview with ProPublica, billionaire California financier Don Hankey said he reached out to Trump’s camp several days before the bond was lowered, expressing willingness to offer the full amount and to use real estate as collateral.

TY. Ive been sweating on something happening today, but given the corruption in congress I was thinking this could get dragged out. Well done Jack, prosectuting rigged stupidity must be frustrating, but he kept a cool head and kept a direct note of every "bizarre" behaviour from Cannon.

Id say if he gets a neutral judge, given this is a black and white case in any normal universe, we could see DJT behind bars before Nov.

With Biden turning things around post his excellent, very lucid and somewhat angry SOU speech, hes really closed the gap. With huge amounts of honest earnt campaign cash, he only needs to deliver what Nikki Haley was, he should win the swing states.

Keep in mind polls are done by phone, at this stage they are not a good representation of reality, I think the hate for what Trump stands for (autocracy etc). I think Biden is well in front come the post June period. and he deserves it given trying to be bi partisan, has lowered crime, trid to introduce a border bill that maga turned down, financially the markets are going gang busters, everything but inflation is excelent, but I think he will get that well under control which will slow the stock market, ya cant have both.

Edit: Min 8 second half. Wade Egan is a freak 9, creates so many broken line plays, through the line, again the 6 and 7 backing the play up, another Johnson try. Just fantastic small guys in the Spine being effective on offense.

One would have to think, if anything, this may have backfired for Trump/Cannon with the case likely to go ahead during the main Campaign season not to mention the other two cases and soon the hush money one to start.

Bad news for him in the Georgia case with Judge Mcafee denying Trump using first amendment for free speech in the Georgia Election Fraud case. No doubt he will appeal to kill time and has other tricks up their sleaves. Time will tell.

I think regardless of the sxl abuse case being civil, if it had been in criminal the R word would have been the verdict. That along with sticking to defying women the right to choose will be the main factors. But how many others are there, Rus links are everywhere including the bond. Calling people vermin. Having a go at Joe who is only a few years older only to have experts agree he is the one showing issues, especially with Biden delivering such a passionate SOU speech, demanding that democracy be the winner and to run congress in a bi partisan manner again, as the Repubs did under Regan etc. The list goes on and on, including the trials to come.

Watching a Trump speech in full better shows what it’s like inside his head: a smorgasbord of falsehoods, personal and professional vendettas, frequent comparisons to other famous people, a couple of handfuls of simple policy ideas, and a lot of non sequiturs that veer into barely intelligible stories. ...

Some of these bizarre asides are best seen in full, like this one about Biden at the beach in Trump’s Georgia response to the State of the Union:

And you know, when he was in the sand and he was having a hard time lifting his feet through the sand, because you know sand is heavy, they figured three solid ounces per foot, but sand is a little heavy, and he’s sitting in a bathing suit. Look, at 81, do you remember Cary Grant? How good was Cary Grant, right? I don’t think Cary Grant, he was good. I don’t know what happened to movie stars today.
