Actually Trump can appeal to the US Supreme Court, eventually, but it's a long path.

Typically this process takes several years

If New York take the same level of expediency as Florida Court judge Cannon, Trump will have surely have achieved these before that happens

I have a feeling the Georgia case will happen next. If we're lucky it will be before the election (although unlikely).

I can imagine the right-wing media/sites like Breitbart, Fox etc are absolutely apoplectic with the verdict 😀

I can't help but think this is only going to strengthen his core supporter base who all think this was a political prosecution anyway. Paying hush money to a pornstar? Looking at the history of well know US presidents and sex scandals, JFK and Bill to name a few it's almost part of the job title. Us politics is so insane who knows what will happen. I think it's fairly clear it's extremely unlikely he will go to prison, more likely a fine given his age and lack of any criminal conviction history and the actual logistics of putting someone in prison who requires secret service protection, house arrest possibly? No doubt we are going to have multiple levels of appeals to look forward to.

The main thing that I'm amazed with daily is out of a country of 350m+ people the two people they came up with to choose between to run the country is Trump and Biden. Fairly sure anyone could walk down an average street in the US and find someone far more qualified in five minutes.

I don't think it can go as far as the Supreme Court as it's not a federal case. And he can't pardon himself either.
