Rikkitic:The Georgia trial has been indefinitely postponed. God must really hate America.

Well, He (She or It) shouldn't hate America, seeing as He, She or It created Americans. I mean, what sort of Creator settles for just hating its own creations, seeing as how such a Creator presumably also has the power to destroy its creations, instantly (Or perhaps only over seven days)? Wouldn't that be easier than He, She or It developing stomach ulcers over such a relatively minor problem? Or if destruction was anathema to H,S or I, why not just rebuild or reprogram its creations to live together more peaceably? Too easy?

Oh, wait. I seem to recall there's an old fairy tales book that describes He, She or It as being kinda niggly - you know, jealous, short-tempered and vengeful. Maybe that explains why Donald Trump is still with us. Like, chip off the old block?

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

Indeed, now he reckons he never said "lock her up" - although I'm sure I heard him saying it at least once in 2016!

In Trump's Fourth of July address in 2019 says Continental Army 'Took Over The Airports'.

He also said the Valley of Valley Forge was in 1775, when it was 1777 (1776 is an important year is US history).

He also merges two events into one: Valley Forge and the Battle of Baltimore.

A span of 34 years later separate them. The American victory over the British at the Battle of Baltimore, inspired Francis Scott Key to write the "Star Spangle Banner" poem that would become the U.S. national anthem.

Usually I'd say it's a common mistake for Americans to think Valley Forge inspired the U.S. national anthem, but Trump, whose big brain never makes mistakes and he never ad-libs, blames the teleprompter.

On another subject Microsoft Bing "Copilot" has completed blacklisted any questions about Trump

"When did Donald Trump says Continental Army 'Took Over The Airports' in the Revolutionary War?"

ChatGPT: 'Donald Trump made the statement about the Continental Army "taking over the airports" during his speech on July 4, 2019, at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. This statement was widely noted for its historical inaccuracy, as the Revolutionary War occurred long before the invention of airplanes and airports. It was seen as an example of a gaffe or misstatement by the former President.'

Interesting: https://www.politico.com/news/2024/06/05/trump-poll-lead-shrank-00161953

I wonder if Trump's lead might continue to shrink now he's a convicted felon (along with the rest of his team)?

You'll remember Trump pardoned Steve Bannon as one of his final acts in office.

No rescue this time!

"'There's not a prison built or a jail built that will ever shut me up,' he defiantly told reporters outside the courthouse in Washington DC."

He is correct.

I am fairly depressed by recent developments but I just saw this brief snippet with Tom Hanks and it reassured me a bit. I feel it is worth a watch.
