Given the rate its loosing money that will happen the same day as Trump is able to extract his payout and they stop propping it up to keep the share price as high as it is.

Short trading is basically risky betting that a stock will drop. It's theoretically possible for a short trader to have infinity losses, go bankrupt if the stock does well.

Short selling involves borrowing shares of a stock from a brokerage and selling them on the open market.

Traders do this when they believe that any stock’s price will decline, such as Trump's media.

Later, they buy back the same number of Trump shares (hopefully at a lower price) to return to the broker.

Shorting does indeed increased supply puts downward pressure on the stock’s price.

The volume of short trading activity determines how much the price drops.

Of course in the US any stock can be shorted, and it does without permission of the stock holder.

But they only become upset when it affects them personally. If they could make money shorting a Biden's own failing company, they'd do it quicker than you could say "invisible hand."

In 2015, Trump said in his speech that he buys Chinese goods because the prices are artificially cheap.

"A friend of mine is a great manufacturer. And, you know, China comes over and they dump all their stuff, and I buy it," Trump said. "I buy it, because, frankly, I have an obligation to buy it, because they devalue their currency so brilliantly. They just did it recently, and nobody thought they could do it again."

AliExpress has them for $50.

A Chinese shoe manufacturer marketing consultant very proudly said the sneakers are made by "Chinese OEM" and the production cost is very close to $50 mentioned.

Maybe Trump should sell golden shower shoes, for Americans wanting to travel to Moscow.
