Now sky news aus/Fox US is piling in on Harris. First it was Biden now its Harris. Both the X attack on her and her not being at the black journalist conference, but they all know its because she was attending the funeral of one of the 3 (now two left) black woman senators in US history. They always conveniently leave out the important details. Fox is even trying to smoot out Trumps attendance and aggression plus plain disinformation, much like all far right wing movements with disinformation.

If the far right christo-fascist movement controls so much social and main stream media, imagine how well Harris would do without these "weird" media giants?

This ultra conservative movement didn't succeed in Europe despite the far eastern imperialist push/troll farms. The real goal is the US imo, and most US folk do not understand how "Normalization" works.

Trump: "We're gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you'll say, 'Please, please. It's too much winning."

Slate: It Sure Seems as if Vladimir Putin Is Recalculating the U.S. Elections

There’s one American who must be angry about the release of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich and 23 other Westerners from prisons in Russia and elsewhere. That angry American is Donald Trump.

Trump has bragged, as he has when speaking of many problems, that only he could solve the problem. Back in May, he wrote on his Truth Social platform that Gershkovich will be released almost immediately after the Election, but definitely before I assume Office.

"He will be HOME, SAFE, AND WITH HIS FAMILY. Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, would do that for me, but not for anyone else, and WE WILL BE PAYING NOTHING!"

Few social media posts, even from Trump’s hand, have aged so poorly.

We don’t yet know the full details of the deal, in which Russia freed 16 prisoners, including four Americans (all falsely accused), in exchange for the release of eight Russian prisoners (who really did commit crimes). Nor do we know why Putin, President Joe Biden, and the leaders of five other countries were able to strike the deal now. But a few inferences can be drawn.

First, and most obviously, it seems that we don’t need Trump as a savior to wrest the nation’s foreign policy from the bungling clutches of Team Biden. It turns out that sometimes Biden & Co. know what they’re doing.

Second, today’s prisoner exchange refutes Trump’s most basic premise ... Trump figured that Putin would release Gershkovich as a personal favor to him. “I like Putin, he likes me,”
...
Third, on a broader level, it seems that countries that are implacable foes on some issues—as, for instance, the U.S. and Russia are on the fate of Ukraine—can sometimes negotiate agreements on other issues.
...
Finally, there might be one more inference to draw from the trade, though for the moment this is hypothetical. It may be that Putin has recalculated the odds of this November’s American presidential election.

Ha, I saw that pic a while back in a GeoPolitics forum, how accurate it is. Was it 600 Rus troll accounts the FBI kicked off twitter recently? I thought the ai troll bot that got caught out whilst funny, shows the issue. Who knows how many still exist. Yet if Musk is so dumb he cant see how promoting that Harris ai video was, putting his political opinion (tax cuts) above what he has talked about for a long time now as a big risk, what hope is there.

The US is just so blind and I dont know what they can do to wake up. I guess if Kanye West identifies as a NaZI, there isnt much stopping them regressing back 100 years to anti semitism and the American NaZI party type situation, if not much worse if Trump/Vancee succeed.

Now Trumps lawyer from the $465M civil fraud case is weighing in on Harris being black. I dont know what she is referring to with "I don’t play around with the Constitution". Quotes taken from the Independent;

“I’m going to speak to you, Miss Harris! I am a strong woman, a mom, a lawyer, and an American!” Habba told the crowd.

“And unlike you, Kamala, I know who my roots are! I know where I come from! And I don’t play around with the Constitution,” said Habba, whose parents are Iraqi immigrants.

and in other legal new for Trump.

CBS News: Trial judge retakes control of Trump 2020 election case after Supreme Court immunity ruling

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has once again taken control over the 2020 election-related prosecution against former President Donald Trump and could soon lay out how the case will move forward in the coming weeks.

The case was sent back to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit after the Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 decision that former presidents are immune from prosecution for official acts they took while in office. The three-judge panel at the appeals court level — which previously found that Trump could not be shielded from criminal charges — issued a brief, unsigned order sending the matter back to the district court on Friday.

"It is ordered, on the court's own motion, that this case be remanded to the district court for further proceedings consistent with the Supreme Court's opinion," the D.C. Circuit said.

Chutkan takes the reins

Judge Chutkan is now expected to interpret and apply the Supreme Court's ruling.

An interesting read on Project 2025, how Trump really does know about it, and how it all unravelled so publicly:

Regarding Trump's dreadful remarks about Kamala's laugh, has anyone ever seen Trump laughing?

I was reading comments on Brian Cohen's podcast and someone posted that same question.

Wired: Donald Trump’s Plan to Hoard Billions in Bitcoin Has Economists Stumped

When former US president Donald Trump announced a plan to establish a national “bitcoin stockpile” if he is reelected, the crowd at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee, erupted into a fit of celebration. The frontrunner in the upcoming election was speaking their language.

“For too long, the government has violated the cardinal rule that every bitcoiner knows by heart: Never sell your bitcoin,” said Trump during his speech on Saturday, pausing briefly to bathe in the applause. “It will be the policy of my administration to keep 100 percent of all bitcoin the US government currently holds or acquires into the future.”

It got lost in news cycle: two months ago the Winklevoss twins donated $2 million In Bitcoin To Trump campaign, shortly after the twins crypto firm entered a settlement agreement with multiple financial regulators after accusations of wrongdoing,

Think on the following for Trump's Fox interview below. In dementia cases, short-term memory loss makes it impossible for patients to remember what they just said. They may repeat statements, questions, or stories frequently. Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia often lead to repetitive behavior.

"Crypto is a very interesting thing. Very high-level in certain ways, intellectually very high-level.

But if we don't do it, China's going to do it. China's going to do it anyway. But if we don't do it, China's doing it. China is already doing it, and if we don't do it, other countries are going to do it.

So we might as well be at the forefront.

And there are people in crypto that are very, very smart people who do love our country, and they think it's-- they think it's good. Who knows? Maybe we'll pay off our $35 trillion dollars, hand them a little crypto check, right? We'll hand them a little bitcoin and wipe out our $35 trillion.

It's already prominent. It's moving along. It's very loosely regulated. That's one of the reasons it's moving along.

But it is a different form of a currency, and it's going to end up benefiting the country.

But if we shut it down like, you know, Biden's trying to shut it down-- Biden doesn't have the intellect to shut it down. Can you imagine this guy's telling you to shut something down like that? He has no idea what the hell it is. But if we don't embrace it, it's going to be embraced by other people.

You know, it's a massive thing already. Did you read where it's bigger than any company in the world already, if you look at the market. It's bigger than many countries. It's a very big thing.

If we're not going to be the leader– we have the people that are the leaders. I know some of them. They're very smart.

And if we don't embrace it, other countries are going to embrace it. Other countries will anyway, but we can be the leader. We might as well be the leader."

The Washington Post - Opinion - Republicans suddenly love crypto. Americans should beware.

03 August 2024

When he was president a few years ago, Donald Trump called it “a scam.”

Nothing much has changed about cryptocurrency since then.

In fact, the biggest news has been the spectacular crash of cryptocurrency exchange FTX and the conviction of its founder on fraud charges. Cryptocurrency is a volatile asset with no intrinsic value.

It is used almost exclusively to speculate or to engage in shady businesses, such as selling drugs or collecting ransom, for which the anonymous nature of crypto accounts comes in handy.

The former president, however, has changed his tune, promising to make the United States the “crypto capital of the planet.” And the Republican Party seems eager to follow. ...

Crypto backers are staking their considerable fortunes on Republicans in 2024.

Fairshake, a pro-crypto super PAC, has raised more than $200 million. The Winklevoss twins - big crypto investors who launched the Gemini crypto exchange - have contributed millions of dollars. ...

Trump’s old crypto skepticism was correct, and it still is.
