“New York will break tourism records when the Trump administration is finished deporting illegal migrant lunatics who set subway riders on fire.”.

She's incredibly optimistic,

She didn't say that the record would be "highest".

ROTFLMAO... how FAKE is this medical : "Trump shows signs of sun damage after ‘frequent golf wins’, medical report finds"

Melania walks out on the patio, and is struck blind.

Melania: "my eyes! my eyes! I've been struck blind"

Trump: "Melania, stop being a drama queen. The doctor said I should be getting sun on my perineum."

I have absolutely no doubt he either wrote that himself or dictated to the doctor what to say 🙄

Also; the art of...uh..."something"?

This was also quite eye-opening - a woman pretends to be part of the MAGA crowd and attempts dating MAGA/alt-right males for 12 months to find out what they're really like:

https://www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/love-sex/relationships/a63915627/political-beliefs-dating-app-experiment/

I asked every man I messaged with about his relationship expectations and family values. Each seemed to know exactly what he was looking for in a wife and articulated it before we even met. She was typically an unvaccinated Christian white woman willing to quit her job and commit to homeschooling children. Her hobbies might include “tending to a garden” and “feeding the animals”.

Jesus, it sounds like most of these imbeciles want to go back to the 1950's and live that way forever. I'd say she dodged several bullets here!

In the Old Testament, twice it's mentioned that the husband must have sex with his wife regularly. For Abrahamic religions, monotheism that's is as good as it gets.

From the New Testament Bible, "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord."

In Islam (Qur'an + Hadith), Hadith literature goes further. (Collections of the sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet Muhammad. They’re hugely influential guides.)
  • "If I were to order anyone to prostrate to anyone else, I would have ordered women to prostrate to their husbands, because of the rights Allah has given them over them."

  • "When a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses, and he spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her until morning."

  • "By Him in Whose hand is my life, a woman cannot fulfill her duty towards Allah until she fulfills her duty towards her husband."
So this was about when water-powered mills and woodblock printing were the pinacle of technology. I guess this is where the Republican mind sits.

Seriously, I struggle to see what type of woman in real life would find any of that attractive or appealing in any way? A life of servitude to some loser male who wants to constantly show her who's "in charge"??

Even as a male myself it sounds hideous to me.

Republican senator Tillis said in 2017 that he had "not deviated once from any nomination or any vote that Trump happens to be supportive of" In 2021 he said he has voted with Trump 90% of the time.

'Whose throat do I get to choke': Many Republicans are struggling to understand the logic of Trump's tariff actions: Yahoo

US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer appeared before Congress this week in an attempt to make the administration's case on tariffs, but the testimony instead often put on display the many unanswered questions about Trump's plans that seem to confuse even GOP lawmakers — not to mention the markets.

Those questions escalated Wednesday afternoon when President Trump stunned everyone yet again by announcing he would authorize a 90-day pause on his reciprocal tariff plans while keeping in place the 10% duties on most of the world that went into effect last weekend.

The news broke just as Greer's two days of testimony were winding down, with one lawmaker reading the news to the room off his phone. A Democrat then accused the president of having "pulled the rug" out from under Greer.
...
Republican lawmakers expressed skepticism amid the turmoil from Trump's "Liberation Day" tariff plans that continue to reverberate through America's political and economic system.

"Whose throat do I get to choke if this proves to be wrong?" Republican Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina asked last week in one memorable moment about who is ultimately responsible for the policy.

Bit of a pain when you are the best thing ever, so much that you override the Constitution, yet when the rubber meets the road, you met your match, let alone the disruption and harm you did to YOUR people. Lets see where trade goes from here. Goes from USA to China, and elsewhere

The NY Times - Harvard Says It Will Not Comply With Trump Administration’s Demands

today

Harvard University said on Monday that it had rejected policy changes requested by the Trump administration that would have placed “unprecedented” demands on the institution, setting up a showdown between the administration and the nation’s wealthiest university.

A letter to Harvard from the Trump administration on Friday demanded that the university reduce the power of students and faculty members over the university’s affairs; report foreign students who commit conduct violations immediately to federal authorities; and bring in an outside party to ensure that each academic department is “viewpoint diverse,” among other steps. ...

The Trump administration said in March that it was examining about $256 million in federal contracts for Harvard ...

It's good to see someone fighting back, even if it is an elitist institution ...  😶

EDIT:  and ...

Some of the actions that the Trump administration demanded of Harvard were:

  • Conducting plagiarism checks on all current and prospective faculty members.

  • Sharing all its hiring data with the Trump administration, and subjecting itself to audits of its hiring while “reforms are being implemented,” at least through 2028.

  • Providing all admissions data to the federal government, including information on both rejected and admitted applicants, sorted by race, national origin, grade-point average and performance on standardized tests.

  • Immediately shutting down any programming related to diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Overhauling academic programs that the Trump administration says have “egregious records on antisemitism,” including placing certain departments and programs under an external audit. The list includes the Divinity School, the Graduate School of Education, the School of Public Health and the Medical School, among many others.

EDIT:  and ...

Almost three months into the Trump administration’s war on universities, and a year and a half into the Republican Party’s organized campaign against the presidents of top colleges, it is clear that antisemitism and D.E.I. are mere pretexts for these attacks.

Like much of what this administration does, the war on higher education is driven by anti-intellectualism and greed.

Trump is building a mafia state, in which the don distributes both money and power.

Universities are independent centers of intellectual and, to some extent, political power. He is trying to destroy that independence.

At least Mussolini invested invested in infrastructure: roads, railways, and land reclamation (like draining marshes).

Hitler was "father of the Autobahn" even though he didn't think of the idea and it was unfinished by the time the war ended.

Trump
  • Proposed a $1.5 trillion infrastructure plan but only 13% was federal funding. ("Other people's money") However, states paying 86% of the cost plan meant it was doomed.

  • Excluded Chinese companies from the U.S. 5G market. Ignoring the promises, Trump attempted a no-bid 5G deal with Rivada Networks which failed, attempts free up mid-band spectrum failed.
Around AI, artificial intelligence.
  • power for data centers to prioritize coal over renewable energy sources

  • is going to lease DOE sites and power for AI

  • with very little transparency, many major technology and investment firms are lobbying heavily for it

There are 40,000 coalworkers in the US.

For comparison of number of "clean" coalworker jobs Trump is attempting saving
  • Printing press operators: 145,000 people
  • travel agents: 58,000
  • Switchboard operators: 33,000
  • black smiths: 10,000
  • shoe cobblers: 10,000
  • movie projectionists: 3,000
  • Watch repairers: Around 2,430
The industries in the U.S. annually
  • $177 billion -- horses (equine)
  • $33 billion -- sports memorabilia
  • $26 billion -- coal industry
