So much for "free speech". Turns out if's "free speech for me (and right wing extremists) but not for thee"

The safety argument does have some validity. As long as he's applying the same rules to everyone, I don't have a problem with banning that kind of account. But on the face of it it does seem to be contrary to his self-proclaimed "free speech absolutist" title.

If he wants to take that angle, he has to ban himself too, given the former head of Trust and Safety had to flee his home due to death threats from his deranged followers after he accused the guy of being a pedophile (why is that always his go to?)

Did he tweet where the guy lived? If not, Musk can easily just argue it doesn't fall under the same criteria.

But it is beginning to look like he may not be any better than than those he condemns, only he's on the other side of the political aisle.

Is that flat line supposed to be there?   This is just 1 day view the longer timescales don't look good.

Ok after trading hours, so we await tomorrow.  Flat line is normal.
It does make P/E ratio look good though :-)
Its a tough time for speculators, buy more or not?

What is the validity of the safety argument? Anyone who can afford private jets can afford private security. Or is he afraid of getting shot down?

msukiwi:
Elon Musk sells $3.6 billion worth of Tesla shares

...He remains Tesla's biggest shareholder with a 13.4% stake, according to financial market data provider Refinitiv.

Tesla is one of the worst performing stocks among major car makers and technology companies this year, as investors worry that Mr Musk's buyout of Twitter is diverting his attention.

...The Twitter deal was only completed after months of legal wrangling, and some have cited the distraction of the takeover as another factor behind Tesla's share price fall.

Investors have also been concerned that demand for the company's electric cars may slow, as the economy weakens, higher borrowing costs discourage buyers and other companies boost their electric vehicle offerings.

Tesla has also been hit by recalls, as well as government probes of crashes and its autopilot feature.

Surely loss of love due to titter political drama will also affect the share price....

Some people will have shares because they think its a fun company and like being associated with it in some way.

It seems that Musk believes in free speech except for free speech that he doesn't like.
