Wow. The conspiracy theories are generating conspiracy theories! Is the shooter enjoying posthumous Margaritas with the Grassy Knoll tramps and the moon landing fakers?

quickymart: The Strait of Hormuz that the orange buffoon managed to get shut (and later tolled) is now open again - except to ships from Iran - and he's cheering about "fixing" the problem

Shorter than the length of conjugal visit when Trump is in prison, the Strait is closed.

Iran reopens Strait of Hormuz, but Trump says blockade on Iranian ships and ports will stay in force: AP News

Iran said Friday it fully reopened the Strait of Hormuz to commercial vessels, but U.S. President Donald Trump said the American blockade on Iranian ships and ports “will remain in full force” until Tehran reaches a deal with the U.S., including on its nuclear program.
...
Trump initially celebrated the Iranian announcement, posting on social media that the strait was “fully open and ready for full passage.” But minutes later, he issued another post saying the U.S. Navy’s blockade would continue “UNTIL SUCH TIME AS OUR TRANSACTION WITH IRAN IS 100% COMPLETE.”

Iran protests continued blockade

Iranian officials said the blockade was a violation of last week’s ceasefire agreement between Iran and the U.S.

Technofreak: I'm not convinced it was staged but nothing would surprise me with Trump and his cronies. I think there's enough doubt to say it was possible.

This is a good time to say the very first thing that crossed my mind when I saw it was Trump slicing his ear with a concealed implement ; )

Technofreak: Real bullets may not have been used, therefore no risk to DJT. The blood seen after the shooting could have easily have been from special effects as used in the movie industry.

No need for fake bullets in the conspiracy theory. Trump would not give a crap about whacking off a few of his supporters to make it look convincing.

quickymart:

https://www.wired.com/story/maga-is-increasingly-convinced-the-trump-assassination-attempt-was-staged/

As Trump’s hold over MAGA has waned, though, an increasing number of his supporters have begun to push the narrative that the entire incident [the Butler shooting] was staged.

Why does the right wing nuts believe most of their opposition making plans that are both secret and mind‑bendingly convoluted but somehow discernable with enough pondering from an armchair?

Have they met another human?

If they need a conspiracy, here's one: the reason that aliens only abduct people, and never stick around, is they listen to AM talk shows, and say "Yikes!"

I wonder whose bright idea that was.

I'll all for a fake assassination attempt, but didn't a nearby guy die from a bullet wound? Or was that faked, too?

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

ENSURING AMERICAN SPACE SUPERIORITY.

Why does everything have to be competition rather than cooperation?

I firmly believe the human race has already failed to get through the bottleneck required for interstellar colonisation.

Rather than husband our resources we waste them on war and petty squabbles.

roobarb: Perhaps the next step is that US Army belt buckles will include the motif "Gott mit Uns".

I wouldn't go suggesting things but given Hegseth's tattoos it's only logical.

If I may wade into the Pete Hegseth comments and "Gott mit Uns"

Donald Trump was asked directly whether he believed God supported U.S. actions. He answered: "I do."

Speaking of Peter Hegseth, democrats in the House introduced articles of impeachment against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

As you'd expect no meaningful Republican support for the impeachment effort, and in most cases, Republicans are either silent or dismissive.

Perhaps democrats will have better luck after mid-terms in 6 months and 2 weeks away.

You're getting a bit carried away there. The fixed expression is a Bible verse and has been used since 1861 as the motto of King Wilhelm I of Prussia and as the motto of the Prussian Order of the Crown. 😉
