gzt: "White House Wants a Nuclear Reactor Orbiting the Moon by 2028"

https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/White-House-Wants-a-Nuclear-Reactor-Orbiting-the-Moon-by-2028.html

I wonder whose bright idea that was.

That idea causes me to remember the sci-fi series Space: 1999 where the moon was blown out of Earth's orbit following an explosion at a nuclear waste dump on the moon.

Gott Mit Uns = God (is) With Us.

But isn't He, She, It always on the side of the biggest armies?

So God must also be onside with China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and Israel, because they're all Christian nations. Hang on...

That's right. Propaganda doesn't stop at God. Even popes have called for crusades against Christian political opponents.

All I said was "Gott mit Uns", I didn't expect The Spanish Inquisition

No inquisition. But if anyone else is thinking of getting this tattooed: it contains a spelling mistake! ("uns" should be lowercase). Tattoos are rarely suitable for demonstrating higher education. 😉

Back to topic.

The Guardian - Two weeks that pushed Trump to the edge. Is his presidency unravelling?

18 April 2026

The president has opened fissures in his base by starting a war he couldn’t finish with Iran, stoking inflation and offending Christians. Barred from running again, he may feel he has nothing to lose. ...

Anthony Scaramucci, a former White House communications director, wrote on the X social media platform:

Here’s the real question: Does he care about any of this? I would submit to everybody – he does not. He’s entered the nihilistic stage of his political career.
The polls don’t matter. The people don’t matter. The consequences don’t matter. That is the most dangerous version of this man
.” ...
