Another Bidenism, introducing Ukranian president as Putin....

Talk about a gaffe, how can any of his close advisers not be telling the man to step aside?

I get that people are different, but I sure hope at 81, the biggest stress I have in my life is whether or not the weather is okay to play golf

How many more chances does he get, the guy is the laughing stock of the world currently

Another Biden blooper - referred to 'Vice President Trump'.

He's a dead man walking.

This is a real tragedy. It is the only thing people will remember about him. It is also an open door for the new fascist plan 2025 America. Future historians will look back on this time with fascination. I look at it with horror.

350milion or so people, and you have 2 candidates that couldn't be further from "presidential" if they tried. They each have their supporters, some to the level of blind fanaticism, but one of them will be the leader for the next 4 years. Dare I say it, the US needs an "Ardern" to step forward, someone who completely derails the existing structure of incompetent old men

Biden is the Denethor of US politics, an old man losing his faculties who refuses to step aside and who doesn't care if things burn after he's gone.

(I'm criticising him as a politician, not as a person.  He'd make a great ordinary granddad, he seems like a genuinely nice guy, but he shouldn't be derailing the only hope we have of stopping Trump by refusing to let someone more capable take over).

But they do not want an Ardern. They could have, if you recall what happened in the last democrat candidacy. When Bernie Sanders was winning the candidacy last time, Obama stepped in and killed him off and installed Biden. Instant termination.

America is not socialist but capitalist to the bone. Both major parties are capitalist.

The Daily Show did a great piece about... well you'd have to watch it, technically it's about incontinence in bed but it veers off into something else (warning, contains diarrhoea references, but NSFW words are bleeped out):

Biden was apparently always known for sleeping less than average when he was much younger. Personally I think Biden just needs more quality sleep. Imo he just hasn't adjusted to the fact he's 81 and needs more rest. It is hard for some people to do and I think he's one of those guys. Imo the gaffes are overstated. Nothing wrong with his mind imo.

George W. Bush was known for frequent gaffes of this nature and he was a young president and known for sleeping a lot.

I don't think Biden is hanging in there for fame or money or anything else. Biden just doesn't see anyone else who can win it like he can. Imo Biden has a pretty good case.

Political commentator David Pakman has an interesting conversation with election predictor Allan Lichtman:

Just when polls were swinging back, just when Biden has an energizing speech in Mich. Clearly not by purpose, Trump steals the lime-light again.

If Newsom and Harris werent from Cali Id say these two could have been a political power couple. Both coming in slightly ahead on the recent marist polls. But was close. Biden up by 2 and down by 1 in another (polled him twice).

In any sane country Newsom and Harris would walk in easily as other choice is Trump.
No matter but...

Polls are showing that the Udders (Other) have the balance of power.
Then there is the aspect that USA can have turnouts not much over 50% - a bit over 60%.

In a poll you may also show your displeasure in not having a better choice, and in the booth?

The House and Senate are as if not more important, but not much from pundits on this?
Democrats will be stuck in another deadlock if GOP controls with MAGA in charge.
Trump would be constrained to a degree if Democrats control them.

There was a rather thought-provoking piece published about this yesterday on the RNZ website:
