I'm sure the cloud would be hacked and the replacement clones horribly deformed. The one thing that gives me real hope in this world is that every new technology suitable for repression also contains the seeds of its antithesis. Universal surveillance also provides the very means to undermine it. All it takes is a few tweaks to turn it against itself.

The last thing we need is foreigners coming over and buying up all the bunkers.

There's already a bunker crisis and decent people will be reduced to living in houses.

But seriously, I had already noted many North Americans around at work and in social circles. When I was a kid they were a rarity but obviously not all of them have stayed to pursue the American dream.

I would be interested to see the statistics and see which way the traffic has been trending over the last 10 years.
