I can't see Johnson gloating. He's not Trump.

No.  He's shorter and smarter and... oh dear.

Ok so you are going with the “all centre right voters are ignorant” reasoning, thanks for clearing that up.

Nice projection dude.

How about explaining what you believe - rather than pretending you know what I do.

You presume to know what a fairly large portion of the UK believe, any projection on my part pales in comparison to your own skills.

As far as what i believe I think one obvious reason is Labour put forward a leader with considerable baggage who was rather unpopular with the centre left/right. You don’t win elections with far left or far right politicians. Not in any operating democracy anyway.

So - if you claim that you've observed me expressing what I think a fairly large portion of the UK "believe", then I guess it'll be easy for you to tell us all what that is I claim to know?

I really do think you're making stuff up. Actually - I'm sure -  100% positive.  Please stop projecting - it's very annoying.

Please go back and read your own comment about the UK basically being fooled into voting for Boris.

I’m also 100% positive that not only are you quite fond of the word “projecting” you are also fond of the term “whataboutism”.

Tell me I’m wrong.

Actually, while you're at explaining what you think I believe, how about an attempt at explaining Bojo's political ideology - in depth.

What? Where I said:

"You scare the bejesus out of people by exaggerating a threat, lie about having the solution - that you'll take them back to a safe place that never really existed - and get a little help from influential friends."

Nope - I'll stick with that - because it's the truth.

You don't understand what "whataboutism" is, so I'll give you an example:  Boris tells lies.  (absolute fact).

defending that by saying "but whatabout when XYZ told a lie" doesn't excuse Boris' lie.  Get it?  I try not to do that.

Why?????

What has this recent thread got to do with his ideology. You appear to be simply looking for an excuse to pick some holes in whatever I post as you have given up trying to defend your post about the reason the UK have voted him in.

Maybe you should explain how your post wasn’t suggesting that the UK were too stupid to understand what was really going on and should of voted for Corbyn - in depth of course.

Thanks but I think we all know what the term “whataboutism” means, my point obviously went straight over your head.

You don't have a "point", and you don't know what "whataboutism" is.  So your presuming to know ('I think we all know what the term 'whataboutism' means") is ludicrous on a couple of levels.

Anyway - rant in my absence.  I have better things to do right now - I have sane visitors to attend to.

The reason I mentioned the “W” term is I can almost guarantee that if I had the time to trawl through your prior posts I suspect we would find a few.

So let’s move on shall we, I will go back to my deranged world where I believe a populace can elect who they think is going to be the best government for them without being duped into doing so and you can enjoy your sane visitors and perhaps discuss how the media/big money has robbed yet another election. (If that doesn’t fly try the Russians).

marmel: It’s like 2016 all over again. Posts all over Twitter blaming the result on the old, racist, ignorant .......

Too hard to try and figure out why people voted the way they did. Maybe Corbyn should write a book and spend the next couple of years doing a tour coming up with various reasons as to why he lost. Should he start with the Russians first or has that been done to death?

It was the lies, stupid - or to be more precise, the bus.  If it wasn't for that bus, the referendum would have gone the other way and UK would live happily ever after in a European socialist mega state

Perhaps now that Brexit will happen, and the sky won't fall in, we'll reveal that Project Fear was the real pack of lies

I know there are obvious comparisons between Trump and Boris but their political situations are quite different. Whilst Trump has spent the last 3 years mainly banging his head against the wall and dealing with the “Russian” thing Boris has a fairly clear run to implement what he campaigned on. Brexit is obviously going to take up most of the next 2-3 years, it will be interesting to see what happens after that.
