Placing your condolences here does nothing to alleviate the suffering of those affected. The people are still dead. Their families are still now without them. So stuff your virtue signalling where the sun doesn't shine and stop telling people what aspects of an event they should and shouldn't discuss.

Was that even done when the IRA were blowing people up?

There's a need to keep things in proportion. It was a terrible event for those involved but you are far more likely to be struck by lightning 3 times than be involved in a terrorist incident in the UK.

TBH I'd be more worried about being mugged in central London than getting blown up.

so we blame the parents now for all their children's activities, he was born in England grew up in England so he is an Englishman, nothing to do with the parents.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Maybe Salman, being born in the UK, felt he was *entitled* to all the benefits and privileges of British citizenship? So gratitude would be completely inappropriate.

Maybe, further, he felt he was being denied those rights, based on racism and religious bigotry?

It really is worth noting that none of the ISIS bombings in Europe has been done by a refugee. They have all been done by people born in Europe.

I'm not sure we have the same definition of "Englishman".

He may have a British passport but that isn't the same thing to many of us.

Perhaps that is part of the problem. If you grow up feeling like an outcast maybe it makes you resentful. Not that there is any excuse for doing such a thing, but if there is to be any hope of preventing it in the future, there has to be understanding of where this comes form.

That comment borders on trolling.

People need to feel reassured, I believe a majority of people, obviously excluding you, feel safer when there is increased authoritarian presence after something like this. It does also probably make it marginally harder to attack when armed and trained officers are

on high alert. Perception helps restore normality.

According to their neighbors on the midday news the family only talked to other Muslims in the area. So much for assimilation..

how many Chinese or Indian or Muslim families do you associate with in NZ. Again thats the problem , many young Muslim men feeling ostracized in their own country of birth , fixing that problem is the only way of stopping Isis from getting support in European countries.

This is going to sound horrible but when you mix races and religions together this is what happens. I feel sorry for those countries who are forcing their citizens to accept the huge amounts of "refuges" flooding there countries and when these people don't fit in with society they get angry and all hell breaks loose.

There are a lot of turkish citizens claiming to be refugees and treating being in Europe as a holiday as there are no border checks in place. The whole situation is only going to get worse and its going to take extreme methods to get it under control that probably will seem racist.

Its a mess and religion is the primary cause whether you want to admit it or not.

Yes I agree somewhat and I personally don't have any issue with religion BUT when its pushed on someone or you are seen as an infidel because you do not follow someone else religion that there is the problem. Intolerance is the problem but religion is the cause.

btw not that is means anything but I see myself as an agnostic.
