I don't think the new vs old paradigm stands up to any examination.

Trump's latest tweet.  Priceless - don't need to worry about impeachment, his brain is exploding/imploding.

No - but he possibly had a stvofe.

Not that I'd wish a stroke on him of course.  I want to see him locked up - in good health - for a decent amount of time.

Edit :

5 hours after tweeting, someone in the White House woke up to the POTUS's random tweet and deleted it (so it disappeared from my embedded tweet above).

For posterity - here it is:

In the meantime - sorted - he hasn't had a stroke - it was a real word:

Looks as though he wont follow patterns of backdown, on climate change. While clearly not great, the worlds efforts on climate change arent great, and they are slow. Even NZ needs 2050 to go from 80% renewables to 100%, thats poor. Plus, when he is gone at the next election or sooner, I am sure they will rejoin the Accord. The positive is more alienation from the rest of the world to the US, thats a good thing.

Sean Spicer says “a small group of people” knows what covfefe means

... Things got decidedly more cryptic when Spicer was inevitably asked what the hell “covfefe” means. According to the press secretary - who is, at this moment, still the head mouthpiece - everyone who needs to know already knows what it means. “The president and a small group of people know exactly what he meant,” Spicer told the room full of journalists. This halfhearted explanation drew laughter from the press members ...

In the words of Sean Spicer: "fairly unbelievable".

It seems pretty clear that he started to type "coverage" when he was distracted by a squirrel and hastily dropped his phone to go and chase it.

Behind the scenes I'd bet that the tweet caused mild panic.  5 hours later - after the tweet had been deleted, he tweeted the following.  As "damage control" from an action that couldn't be undone, that's not bad work - his spin merchants and co-liars should be congratulated:

Far better approach than the ridiculousness of what Sean Spicer said about it.

I'm surprised he doesn't make more mistakes like this. He actually does remarkably well using a large modern smartphone with such little hands.

I wonder what Sean's family, relatives and friends think about his job, and the way he handles it.

If 'handles' is the right word. 'Copes with it' maybe more appropriate.

Sunday dinners, a la Blue Bloods, would be interesting. Sean would be in Frank Reagan's chair, of course.

Or perhaps Grandpa's, considering that character's lack of relevance :-)

I see Elon Musk is saying he will quit the Trump administration if Trump dumps the Paris climate accords.

Also a huge long list of people like Apple's Cook calling Trump to tell him it's not a great idea to quit.

I hope Trump stays in, but then there's the general problem of what Amerca can do to implement it. Buy Telsa, all problems solved. : P. Looks like there is a real tension there between the future economy and the current government. Hopefully they can work it out.

Just released, the official abandonment of the Paris Accord. As its unfair to the US. Its actually unfair to all countries as we all have to incur costs to redefine energy use. Its that or its global warming.

Hark back to the campaign trail. He's good with words. He knows the best words... It's not his fault of the rest of the world can't keep up :-)

In respect of the Paris Accord, he's saying he's open to negotiating a "fairer" deal for the USA. I think the rest of the world needs to slap massive taxes on US products.
