Before Nixon was president he used a dog named "Checkers" to appear more sympathetic (even though the dog never lived in the Whitehouse)

http://www.presidentialpetmuseum.com/blog/richard-nixon-checkers/

Yesterday press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders read a 9-year-old's letter to the president, in a blatant "feel good" piece.

The difference between Nixon and Trump is at least Nixon was more popular at the beginning.

Rikkitic:

Excrement floats at the same level. Scaramucci seems like a perfect fit with Trump. Maybe together they will achieve critical mass and finally put an end to this whole sorry spectacle.

And at least Checkers was real.

Here is another amazing fact: Pence actually has a pet cat named Pickles. How many times have you ever heard of any kid or animal with that name? It isn't exactly common. Will wonders never cease?

Many thanks to the guys that pointed me back to this amusing and thought provoking thread after it was moved here to this new forum. I did not have the chance to reply nor thank your responses about my question about what happened before it was locked. Nor did I have the chance to put on my armoured jacket and helmet with my "elf and safety" brochure in hand before jumping into this new "political" forum.

The shut down of my question before chance of response makes me think about "The Smooch." That's the way things are done nowadays.

Glad to be able to laugh though at this ongoing saga.

On behalf of me I would like to congratulate John McCain for getting off his "very" sick bed to vote against abolishing Obamacare, when there is nothing to replace it.

Its clear that Trump is on a personal mission to repeal everything Obama did for no particular reason. His reversing of the Transgender armed forces policy is simply being pathetic.

CNN today - Donald Trump's manic, fantastical and utterly disastrous week

Story highlights

The truth is that this is a President who creates chaos in and around him

The plan, seemingly, is that there is no plan

I had an "ah ha" moment today. I glanced at a CNN alert on my phone, it was that Trump signed the Russia restrictions whatever. At first glance I thought it was Trump resigned. The moral is in those brief moments when I thought it was resigned, I was not surprised.

And on one of his campaigns, he was holding a flag with Trump for LGBT on it.

Ironically, the US militarily spends a lot more on Viagra that it does on TG medical benefits. They need to harden up

He does so many things for his country. Sending midnight tweets, sacking people here and there, spends his energy to piss off all his allies ...

But NK about to nuke his country - no action.

Btw I don't know why you guys get so excited at him doing amazing things for his country - leave him alone will to do what he wants will ya :)
